THOSE AMAZING FLORIDA SKIES
Twas another Sunday, a different time,
we were asked for dinner and it was so fine.
We enjoyed our visit, yes very much,
and the view to the west was a sunset plus.
We were watching Ralphie, that big ball of fur,
romp around with Mugzie who was littler.
They put on a good show, and they ran with glee,
and I noticed Ralph play so carefully.
He was so much bigger then the little pup,
I could see he was special no he's not a mutt.
What wonderous blessing in the Florida sky,
as the sun was setting you could here us sigh,
and the view from their house is the very best,
when your there with loved one, oh my yes we're blessed
all the time.
Then the grand conclusion of a wonderday day,
was this big bright moon in a double play.
Guess the sun was shining from down below,
to give the moon it's double glow.

Just a few comments and then I'll stop and read the rest.
I had a fifth-wheel and loved it, but I shouldn't have bought such a big one. It was nice to live in for a while in Texas after going through Hurricane Andrew. I had to actually buy things to fill up the trailer. Unfortunately, I've made up for lost time in my condo. I collect and produce and collect too many things-- small things and and larger ones--things I've sewed and created--including walls full of watercolor pictures and have quite a few musical instruments all around. I play them when I feel like it, but my passion, right now, is my watercolor. I also like to just look at my instruments...on this wall I have a very old Two Gray Hills rug with two very pretty guitars--and two dulcimers hanging on it. That sounds like I made holes in the Indian rug, but I anchored them from right above it. A banjo also has part of it in front of the rug.
I wonder if I could write poetry if I gave it a try. Sometimes I think I could...other times I just take in the feeling, and many times I take photos and/or I paint what gives me that feeling. I've lived a lot of places, and they all come back to me in my thoughts and dreams, but I'd love to go back to them now that I paint. I couldn't even paint Sedona without being there again...and oh how I wish I could go. The gas crunch with the cost of airflight prices squelches my traveling plans...but not the dreams.
Thanks for this journal. I'll read the rest of it more carefully little by little.
Take good care, Helen
