Feeling Quiet

Important Updates on 2,996

On August 28 the goal was reached and the 2,996th victim was assigned. Even though goal was reached, there are still hundreds of bloggers willing to participate in the project, so the list of 2,996 victims was made available for a second assignment. This created a lot of confusion, especially when two bloggers ended up being assigned to the same person. Please don't let that discourage you from making your tribute on Sept 11. Let's not forget that the purpose of this project is to honor innocent victims, it's not about "us" and it's not about who can create the best tribute. The second assignment does not change anything for those of us that already have a name assigned to us. It only means that some of the victims will be honored twice. As far as I'm concerned, the more tributes, the better! And to think, I was worried that they wouldn't reach their goal, LOL.

On Sept 11, when you post your tribute, remember to include this link on your page:  http://www.dcroe.com/2996/?page_id=2
The link goes to the list of participants so people can read other tributes if they wish.

Thanks Mandy!  I went and picked up the link and some graphics!  I'm so glad that they are starting over with the names!!  That's wonderful!  The more people that get involved the better!  Makes no difference how many times each of these people are remembered.  In my book, they can't be remembered enough!

    Hugs,
