Feeling Mischievous
I saw Jeannett's Video, Me and my teddy bear! OMG, I have never in my life seen anything so adorable! It's her cat Katinka, playing with her very own teddy bear, LOL. I loved it, but most importantly... it made me smile and made me feel good. I couldn't wait to get up on Sunday and come online to watch it again. I even showed it to my daughter Cathy, and my hubby, LOL. Call me crazy, I DON'T CARE!
Update: I'm sorry, but I didn't realize that Jeannette's journal is private when I made this entry, but she said if you email her at JLocorriere05@aol.com she'll give access to her journal if anyone wants to see the video. It's a great journal, and she has other videos and beautiful pics as well. You can also meet her other kitty Nina.
I love cats. I had cats my whole life until I got married 20 years ago and since my husband suffers from allergies, I haven't been able to have pets ever since. Oh, and let's not even get intoteddy bears - I have so many that I can open up my own toy store. My husband used to say that if I add any more stuffed dolls to the bed there won't be any space for us. Well, my response to him was that there would be space for him in one of the other beds in the house, LOL. So what did he do? A couple of years ago, when I was pregnant with my son who later died, he purchased me a king size bed, to accomodate my growing tummy as well as my growing collection of bedtime stuffies. Gotta love him!
This adorable dancing kitty is especially for Jenny, because she said she gets sad when she comes here. I don't want her to be sad. I don't want anyone to be sad, but unfortunately life usually interferes with what we want to do, or with how we'd like to feel.
I really need to get my own kitty. It kills me not to have any pets. That's the best medicine there is for depression. So many studies have been done on the effects that pets have on a person's state of mind. A lot of hospitals and nursing homes have pets so the patients can visit with them. I once saw a TV show where the hospital took a kitty to an elderly woman's bed on a regular basis so she could play with him and pet him. It helped her physical and mental health improve so much. I would be on top of the world if I had one. My husband said we could get one, but his allergies have not improved, so I would be hesitant to get a cat and then have to give it up if it didn't work out. That would do me more harm than anything else.
One thing I do know is that if I ever do get a cat or two, I would not appreciate it if they learned how to do this:
Can you imagine? I would die if all of a sudden my teddy bears started disappearing, LOL. I don't think my plumbing or my septic tank would appreciate it either, LOL.
Did you ever stop to wonder what kind of music cats like to listen to? Well, since I'm in a "meow-meow" mood, I just have to include these music loving cats:
The House Cat

The Hip Hop Cat

Heavy Metal Cats

The Stevie Wonder Cat

The Stoner Cat

The Techno Cat

The i-cat

Crazy for Cats!
The past few weeks have been very hard for me and it seems like things are just getting worse. If it's not one thing, it's another, but there always has to be something to upset my state of mind. I've been in such a depression that it feels like I'm drowning, however, something happened on Saturday night that allowed me to snap out of it and actually feel joy again and smile from ear to ear. No, I didn't get to spend the night with my

You crack me up!!!! But oh please don't apologize for my comment about me being sad while visiting your journal. I am so glad you share with us and don't try and hide your true feelings, I just wish there was more I could do. But knowing someone cares, someone who has never even met you, well I hope that provides some comfort.
I would be lost without my cats and teddy bears, I am a collecter of both lol. I have 6 cats and a dog, they are my world, they pick me up when no one else can reach me. You cant but help smile at the things they do and the unconditional love they give you. If it's possible for you to get a kitty I would say do it!! But hopefully you can get 2, they like to have friends : )
I wish I could go kitty shopping with you lol
Check out the shelters, they are the ones that really need a good home!
I love this entry and all your graphics!!
Hugs,
Jenny

i am so allergic to cats that my face and throat and eyes swell shut if i go near them so i dislike cats very much. But i understand your love for them...i love my 2 beagles so much.....i sit here and wish with all my heart that i could reach thru this PC and give you my teddy bear i bought on Sunday at Goodwill. I go there and look not for the fancy ones but for one with a flaw....LIKE ME. I bring them home and love them. You and i are so much alike.
LOVE YOU TRULY,

Mandy I came by your journal via Jeannette's Travels ~ I really enjoyed reading it and the Breast awareness entry ~ I thought the poem was really funny ~ and I also love to watch Katinka and Nina ~ Ally

Cute entry. Sad that you can't get a kitty. How allergic IS hubby? Can he take allergy meds to help out the situation? Glad you can look at kitty pics and videos to bring a smile.

I am allergic to cats...but as long as I wash my hands after holding or petting one I'm okay. If I forget to wash my hands and happen to touch my eyes my eye will puff up. Benadryl usually does the trick. I have two dogs, they do not shed hair, one is a cockshnoodle, the other a bashon...(don't know if I spelled correctly) Usually if they do not shed, you should be okay.
I am going back to bed now.
