Hearing The Kids Watching Blues Clues in the other room.
The Laundromat
I went to the Laundromat the other night. That is always an experience.
I wrote a friend about the experience. I included a list of what I didn't like about the experience. I rather liked the list, so I thought I'd post it here. lol
What I Didn't Like About Going to the Laundromat:
1. Carrying 4 baskets of clothes down the stairs, one at a time, and putting them into the car.
2. Getting the kids down the stairs and into the car while they asked questions about EVERYTHING that we passed on the way out.
3. Carrying 4 baskets of clothes, one at a time, INTO the laundromat.
4. Getting the kids into the laundromat as they asked questions about EVERYTHING that we passed on the way in.
5. My kids asking me every 2 minutes if they could get something out of the vending machines that have been strategically placed there in order to torment parents who want to use their quarters for the freakin' machines and not the tin foil butterfly rings.
6. My kids telling me exactly WHICH toy out of the vending machine that they wanted and not understanding that you can't decide what comes out of the 25 cent vending machine, you get what you get.
7. Carrying 4 baskets of clothes, one at a time, OUT of the laundromat and into the trunk.
8.. Getting the kids out of the laundromat and into the trunk..I mean, car.
9. Getting the kids out of the car and UP the stairs into the apartment.
10. Carrying the 4 baskets of clothes, again, one at a time, UP the stairs and INTO the apartment in addition to the 5 bags of groceries I bought after doing laundry.
11. Getting the kids to UNLOCK the door so that I could bring everything into the house as they figured it would be FUNNY to lock me out while my arms are full.
That is all. hehe

Oh my, I don't envy you a bit. That's a rough way to do laundry for anyone. Hopefully, someday you can have an apartment with the washer & dryer in the unit. Linda in Washington state http://journals.aol.com/lsfp1
