Midnight Conversations

I avoid drinking out of cans. I preferred the glass bottles too - but I used to sometimes get them with the glass broken on the top and end up with a cut lip! We have return bottles here - all cans, bottles, for soda - 10 cent deposit. We return them and get our money back - plastic, glass, aluminum. The glass was heavy to return.

I miss a lot of things, but once they are gone, my mind blanks them out, I think! I sure do miss the full serve gas stations. They washed the windows, too, on the outside - remember? I miss bread and milk trucks. I miss milk in glass bottles with paper tops on them. I miss food before additives and dyes. I miss getting dressed up whenever going out some place. I miss life before blue jeans, even!

I was going to say I miss cars big enough to start a family in, but when there is a will, there is a way :-)

I miss coke in the bottle too ~ I hate cans and drinking anything out of a can.  I remember full service gas stations.  Now we are paying a zillion times more and doing it all ourselves, makes no sense.  There is one station around who pumps your gas but the guy is a nimrod and usually messes up somehow so nobody local uses him anyway.  Only the tourist let him pump their gas.  LOL.  Most of them probably no longer have a gas cap.  ;o
