I know, it has been a while since I have put anything in here. I just have the same excuse as I always do...life happens. Seems like it is, as always, a never ending roller coaster of good things and bad things. I am just hoping that the good things become more prevelant from here on out.

Anyway... I am just sitting here waiting on laundry and I decided to try and do a quick update. Of course, I should know by now there is no such thing as a "quick" update. I get online and look for the picture and music that suits my mood or my entry. That in itself can take some time. Time of course, is a commodity that I have little of as of late. But that is nothing unusual for me or probably a large percentage of the population. :o)

I did want to put something in here right quick though. If anyone remembers me well enough, they know that my mom and I have a great relationship. My siblings and I almost lost her about a month ago. Seems one of the veins in her brain decided to rupture. She is getting better little by little now, but it took what seems a like a lifetime just for her to be able to get out a few words. She is still largely paralyzed over most of her left side, but the docs seem to think she will be able to eventually get a most of that movement back in time. She may never get her left arm back, but if she can walk and talk, I am alright with that. :o) She is keeping her spirits up most of the time, but there are days when she does seem a little bit distant. I just hope she continues to get better everyday.

As for an update on my kids, they are doing very well. My son decided to try wrestling and his twin sister is getting ready to start her second season of volleyball. They will be in high school next year! My oldest is playing on a volleyball rec league over the winter. I can't believe she will be graduating high school next year. Man how time does fly!!! She is working and going to school and everything!...lol! :o) They are all getting good grades in school, which is a good thing for them. :::grins::: My babies are growing up so darn fast!

I know, I haven't been here in a long time. Just seems things have just been going too fast lately. It seems like yesterday when I was on here often, but it has been years. It doesn't seem like it has been, but it has. I don't know where time goes. Sometimes I wish I could go backwards and other times I wish I could just make it stop, or even slow down. Needless to say I haven't figured that out...lol!

Lots of stuff has been going on, but I haven't had much time to update in here. I am still working, and on my days off, I have to play catch up with the housework. I know, I have probably said this before, but it has been so long since I have been on here, I can't rightly remember. If this is repetative, I appologize. I just don't remember where I left off to be completely honest. So much has been going on. I don't know if everything thing will fit in one journal entry.

First of all I miss this journal. I miss be able to sit down for long periods of time and just write what is on my mind and in my soul. I have missed the times where I have been able to just let things flow out of me, and onto this journal page. I keep telling myself I am going to get back to writing in it, but I just haven't been able to it seems. I believe it is starting to take a toll on me in some odd way. It seems without this outlet, things just fill up and I feel like I need to explode somewhere. I don't know if that makes any sense, but it is the best way for me to describe it right now.

Life has gotten away with me it seems. My oldest is now 17, driving and working. My twins are soon to be 14. I just cannot get over how much time has gone by. I remember when they were just little bits, toddling around the house. Now they are tall as or taller than I am, and I am not short by any means...lol! I guess I just have to get used to looking straight at them, or in my sons case, up.

I have also lost my other old dog. It was heart breaking, but he could no longer walk. I miss him... I miss just holding on to him when I am upset or need the company. I miss both of my dogs, but I have to admit, I miss him even more. He was my best friend, my protector when I was by myself and my company when I was sad. I will be putting his pictures up in here as I did my Lab. She was an awesome pet as well. She was always so happy and silly. I miss them both.

I did get another dog, and she is cute as anything, and sweet as can be. She is not them, but she helps me not feel so sad. She is a puppy, so she also keeps me on my toes...lol! I will put pictures of her in here when I get the chance. She is a little boxer mix with the cutest face. She is a handful though...lol! I forgot how much work puppies were until she came to live with us. My other 2 dogs were adults and housebroken when we got them. This one needed a little guidence and training, but she is all good now. :o)

Oh well, I guess I will close for now. I still have a little bit of landry to do, so I will be up for a little bit longer. I hope not too much longer though, as I have to work in the morning, and tomorrow is also the first day of school for the twins. I hope they have a good day. My oldest's first day isn't until Thursday, so she has a break still. I do have to work in the morning as well, so I will be needing some sleep. I am not as young as I used to be, and I definately need more sleep than I used too. I wonder sometimes, how I ever managed to get by with such little sleep when I was younger. I still haven't figured that one out completely...lol! ;o)

Anyway... Sleep well and dream well, when sleep finds you. Bright blessings to you and yours, this day and everyday!

30 Seconds to Mars :A Beautiful Lie :'The Kill'

I was going to put a really cool picture on this entry, but unfortunately, either I forgot how, or the picture I wanted to put here was encoded so that I couldn't use it. It is a really cool picture. I found it on Nene Thomas's web site when I was checking it out his morning.

Anyway... It has been a long time since I have put anything in this journal, let alone spend any time online. Alot has happened over the past few months. Some of it good, some of it not so good, but such is life. If there are no setbacks, letdowns, sad days, etc. I think we don't appreciate the good things as much.

As mentioned previously, I did finally get my surgery done last summer, and everything healed up well. I started working a new job in October in an animal clinic. I have to say it is probably the best job I have ever had. I have always loved animals, and this gives me the chance to see alot of them. Everything from dogs to cats to lizards...lol. And all the baby critters are just way too cute!

A few other things have also happened. I ended up in the ER a couple of months ago. They never did figure out what exactly was wrong with me, but they did say my blood pressure was not good. It was high enough that they strapped me to an EKG as soon as they read the blood pressure. The EKG was fine, and everything cleared up shortly there after. I don't know if they will ever figure out exactly what it was.

Also, for any of you that know me, know that I have - had 2 dogs. My black lab had to be put down a while back. That was very hard for me to do, but I knew it was what was best for her. She wouldn't have had any kind of life if I wouldn't have let her go. She had stopped eating, and couldn't go to the bathroom any longer, and taking a step or two was completely exhausting for her. It was probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. My other dog, as well as I, miss her very much. My youngest took it the hardest of them all. I was not surprised at that, as those two were almost insepperable.

I don't have alot of time today, but as usual, I am hoping to be able to have a little more online time. My schedule changes almost weekly, and it is hard to guess what days I am working. On my days off, I get to do housework and other stuff to, which also limits my online time. Maybe one of these days I will have more time? I can hope. :o)

O.K. enough with the music and stuff...lol! I just like the way the singer sounds. He can go from a soothing type of a voice, to an angry and emotionally explosive voice. Anyway... You know me, I like all different kinds of music. Just depends on my mood at the time. :o)

Anyway... to the update, shall we? lol! :o) I finally found a job that I think I am going to like. I have steadily and carefully been looking for a job over the past few months now, trying to find just the right one that would fit. I must say, I wasn't sure if I was going to be lucky enough to find it, and almost gave up searching and took whatever I could get. I am soooo glad I didn't give up, cause I found exactly what will work for me! I love animals and landed a job working in an animal clinic. I will be a receptionist part time to start, possiblely full time later. Part time works for me, cause it gives my kids a chance to make the transition of me not always being here. They are older, and should be just fine, but they will have just as much of an adjustment as I will. I start bright and early tomorrow. YAY! The first couple of weeks or so will be full time while I train, but after that it will be a part time schedule. I am soooo excited!!! heehee

Hmm... Oh yeah! The new Evanescence CD is fantastic. I was at the store bright and early on October 3 to pick up a couple of copies...lol! I know, silly isn't it? heehee. Actually I was on a mission for my daughter. She saved her money from September in order to get the CD. I told her I would pick it up for her. She also had me pick up a copy for a friend of hers. I must have looked like a fanatic picking up multiple copies of the CD...lol! Needless to say, I was their favorite person for that day. heehee! Since it was a new release, it was only listed at $9.99 at a local store, so I figured what the heck. ;o) It is a really good CD. Of course, my girls always have it, so I don't get to listen to it much. lol! Is alright, I will get a turn eventually. heehee!

What else? :::scratches head to think::: Oh! volleyball season is almost over thank goodness. I like to watch them play, but it is alot of running around. I also have to do volleyball uniforms late at night often, because they each only have 1 uniform. If they have games 2 or 3 days in a row, I have to wash them on those nights. What really sucks about that is, my oldest sometimes doesn't get done playing until going on 9pm. On those nights, I am up until 11pm or later getting them done for the next days games. They have to take them with them in the morning because they usually play right after school. They are doing well with it though, so I won't complain too much. :o)

I also thought I was loosing my older dog. He got really sick on Thursday, and didn't think he was going to make it. We got him to the vet in time. I think he will be alright, at least for now. I have to remind myself that he is, after all, 15 years old. I think his age is just catching up with him. His kidneys weren't working properly and he was dehydrating, but with some extra water, and special food for kidney problems, he is doing much better. He is still not perfect, but he is oh so much better now. I just hope he keeps on getting better. I would miss him something aweful. I know, I need to brace myself for that eventuality, but I try not to think about that too much. I am just glad that I still have him. :o)

Oh well, I guess I will close for now. I need to finish getting things ready for tomorrow. :::big grins::: I am both excited and nervous at the same time. I don't think I have felt this way in a long time. heehee! I just hope it is everything it seems to be, and that I am as happy about it in 6 months, as I am now. I think I will be, but I can't help but wonder. I think I am just a little bit nervous because it's been so long, and that once I get in and get started, I will more than likely be just fine. :o) I can't wait! :::giggles:::

I can't wait until this CD comes out. I think it comes out on October 3, but I am not completely positive. I remember when the "Fallen" CD came out. I think I was one of the first people around here to get it. I heard it on the radio and decided that I had to get it. I found out the release date, and was up at the store first thing in the morning to buy it. When I heard the first single from it, it surprised me. When it caught me offguard like that, I figured I just had to get it...lol! I loved every single minute of that CD. The live CD "Anywhere But Home" is good too. There is a song on that CD called "Missing" that I absolutely, positively LOVE!

O.K. enough about music. I was just going to get online here briefly to write a quick update. I only have a little bit of time to get it all down as well...lol! I am washing and drying some ball uniforms for tomorrow. I wish they had more than one uniform, especially when they play games 2 and 3 days in a row. That just means I am up late washing the uniforms after each game. Needless to say, I don't get much sleep on the nights that there are volleyball games. I have two playing right now, so it's 2 sets of uniforms after each game.

Anyway... I had to read my journal entry right quick, just to see where I left off. I hadn't realized it had been so long since I put anything in here. I have just been way busy with practices and school starting and just getting prepared for both of those things. I have also been sending out resume's, filling out applications and going on a few interviews. I am hoping to get a job within the next month, but only time will tell I suppose. I will try to update on that, as well as any other things that go on that I feel the need to post. I with I could get on here more often to post on here, as well as a few other things that online time could afford me. I guess I will just have to take what online time I get, and try to make the most of it. I guess some time is better than no time. :o)

My youngest offspring finally got her cast of her ankle this week. They were surprised at how fast she healed. She was supposed to keep the cast on for six weeks, but when they X-rayed it, they said it was healing up so well, that she would only need the cast for 5 weeks. They cut that thing off this past Monday, and boy was she happy! lol! She has to go through a little therapy, but she is doing well with that as well. Originally the doc wanted her to have 6 therapy sessions, but the therapist said she didn't need that many, and recomended 3 visits instead. I don't know alot about measurements of movement or anything, but from what I gathered from the therapist, when someone comes out of a non weight bearing cast after 5 to 6 weeks, they only have a range of motion -10 to -15. He said normal is a +15. She is already at a +5 coming out of the cast. He seemed to be surprised at that range. He gave her some exercises to do at home, and she does them. Methinks she wants to play volleyball really bad, and she knows that she can't until they release her. She is working really hard to get herself back into playing form. She can't wait to be able to play again. :o)

Hmm... I think that is about it for the updates this evening. My dryer and washer are done, and I have to switch out the laundry. I am getting sleepy, and if I don't get it done now, I will fall asleep and get stuck rushing to get it done in the morning...lol! I don't like getting up to rush and get laundry done, it just isn't any fun. ;o)

Hmmm... Where to start? lol! I guess going back a few weeks is a good place to start? :o)

O.K. I guess I will start there. Seems my computer had an issue a while back and we had to send it in to be fixed. They kept it for about a week. I finally got it back a couple of Tuesdays ago, thinking it was fixed. I was happy to get it back in a week. Needless to say being happy didn't last long when I found out that it wasn't fixed properly. I spent about 4 days on the phone with different people from the computer company trying to fix it. I finally got someone who seemed to know what the problem was, and walked me through what we thought was a fix. Well, as you can guess, it didn't work, and I ended up having to send the computer back yet again-for another week!

I must say though, this time when I got it back, I was surprised to get a call from the Tech Supervisor that tried so hard to help me before I sent it back. He called and said: "I received notification that you received your computer back today". I was surprised to get THAT call! I mean, how many companies, have tech people, that want to be notified when a customer gets their computer back? He called to walk me through setting it up again, and getting the necessary download I needed to keep it from messing up again. Seems there was an issue with the USB port or something that connected my printer to the computer. When we hooked up the printer, it caused a malefunction in the computer.

Anyway... He walked me through the entire set up procedures. Every little thing that needed to be done, he helped me with. He just sat quietly on the other end while everything loaded, just to make sure there were no problems. I was extremely thankful for the help. I just couldn't believe that there was a company or a person, that still cared to help out a customer to that extent. He even waited when everything was loaded, the computer was restarted again, just to make sure everything was alright. He also told me that if I ever had any trouble with this computer again, just to call him. I have his direct line, and I don't have to go through the explaination over and over again with other tech people. THAT makes fixing any problem alot quicker. I think I will buy this brand of computer again if the tech people are this helpful in the future.

Of course, the computer issue was only 1 thing that was going on while I was away. A few different things also went on around here. (I know, no surprise there...lol). I don't think I have too many updates with just one issue written on it? Hmmm... Methinks I will have to go back and check that for accuracy though. I guess I could have typed an entry with only 1 update...lol

Anyway... During this time, my youngest decided to follow in her big sisters footsteps, and break a bone. This one however, broke an ankle, not a wrist. She decided she wanted to try and jump over bushes--at night--with very little outside lighting. She was having fun with some other kids until she fell on her ankle wrong. She ended up having a fracture almost within her growth plate, and will be in a cast for 5 more weeks. (Six weeks total). After that, she gets to go through physical therapy to help build it back up.

Another one upset about missing some of a volleyball season. I think she was so upset because try-outs are the 8th, 9th & 10th of this month. She was afraid she wouldn't get on a team for this fall season. I assured her that the coach has already seen her play, and will put her on a team. She just has to show up for try-outs and just sit and watch. She tried to be strong at the doc office when he told her no volleyball for a while. She sat quietly, but I seen tears roll down her cheeks. No noise, just tears. I felt so bad for her. My eyes welled up just looking at the poor baby. I kept my composure though. One of us had to pay attention to the instructions from the doctor.

Oh well... I think I am just about out of room for this entry, and will have to write another one later on today, or another day. I have to get myself showered and to the store for some more milk. Seems we went through more than usual this week...lol! Besides, being without the computer for a while, has my oldest going through online withdrawal. Heehee! :o)
