Stupidity, part2

I walked back to the registers shaking my head at the sheer idiocy of it all, feeling that the whole experience had been a complete and total waste of time that could have been used being bored with my job. Not only that, but it had previously struck me that the company for which I work had family environment. Apparantly not so if a woman can get in trouble for washing out a piece of equipment whose sole purpose is to ensure both the health of her baby and herself. To me, the pump is just a piece of plastic. It is a means to an end with its end being a noble one. No one would bat so much as an eyelash if i got a finger cut, but are offended if I wash out a breast pump. Lets review both "bodily fluids". Blood outside the body, unless it's in a blood bank, no longer has a purpose. Spilled blood is wasted. Breast milk outside of the body can be stored, either in a refrigerator or a freezer, and will eventually nourish a child when its mother is not present. People, in general, can be so stupid sometimes, and they drag other peole into their senseless stupidity. For me, this is a no- win situation, and I have come to conclude that people can be sqeamish and childish over the weirdest things.
