The Stupidity of My Workplace.

Feeling Frustrated

The company I work for is stupid. Case and point, so highlighted by an incident which occurred recently... For anybody who doesn't know, I'm a breastfeeding mother. In order to provide for my baby and to keep up my milk supply, I pump at work. For the comfort of my co-workers, I cloister myself in the fitting room of my workplace during a portion of my lunchbreak. One day last week, after such an event, I felt the need to wash my breast pump. Retail restrooms are by no means the cleanest, most sterile environment in which to clean the equipment. So what did I do? I used the cleanest sink available- the one in the breakroom. Eventually, I went back up front to resume my duties. A short while later, the Customer Service Manager turns off the light to my register and tells me a certain manager wants to speak to me. All the way back, I thought, "Shit, I didn't keep my nose as clean as I thought.", and my heart is fluttering something fierce and awful. Turns out, some idiot had gotten squeamish about my washing the breastpump out in the breakroom. Some bruhaha about bodily fluids. Please!
