Feeling Hopeful

God does talk to me sometimes

Yesterday, as I mentioned before in my journal, my dog Sadie got away from me.

Actually, I turned her loose.  I didn't know Buddy was nearby, or I'd have kept her on her leash.  She followed him into the woods and totally ignored my calls.  Buddy showed up later without her.

For almost an hour, I called for her, shouting her name over and over.  I would come to the house to see if she had returned without me; then I'd go back into the pasture, still calling for her.

While she was missing, I felt, more than heard, God speaking.

"Now you know how I feel," He said, "when I call to you again and again, and you go on your merry way as though I weren't here."

I'm glad God still speaks to me.

That is why I cannot understand how anyone can live without God in thier life. He is the comforter and of course many more things to us. Praise God you found your dear pet. Just like God calls us you called and called for her. What a great way to see God work and greater yet to make the comparison.

Oh, I was hurting so much this morning from the TOS incident, and this was exactly what I needed to read. :-)

Thank you. I will have to let go of my pain and hurt...turn the other cheek...not wish for retailiation...

Yes, He does remind us of what's important now and then !   Too bad we don't remember.  I guess that's why we are humans and He is God.  I often feel like Moses, walking in the wilderness....Have a great weekend !  'On Ya' - ma
