Honors
First of all I have to thank Jimmy of http://journals.aol.com/jimsulliv3/jimmys-journal/ for bestowing me the honor of AREA 51 member! Whoo hoo :) I'm not sure what that means, but I understand it comes with rank (?) and privileges! Jimmy and his friends have a really great time, several times a week, and definitely on the weekends, so it can't be bad. As Jimmy puts it: AREA 51 is a state of mind, not necessarily a physical place. All the members, however are kind. Hey you can never have enough friends in high places!...and he has a cat!
The second honor comes from Mik, http://journals.aol.com/alohamik/DiaryofRock-n-RollMen/ who gave me a Nice Matters award. Mik is a nice guy, and both he and his gal pal are so very lucky to have each other. Mik loves her, is tender with his words about her, and you can just tell this guy has been bitten by the love bug!! Mik is a also a great lil' brother to his sisters who have had some major health issues in the past year...always there to lend a helping hand!
Hope your Valentine's Day was special, whether you share your life with someon or you are single, you always have you, and that IS special.
Glen and I went to Black Angus, for the 8th year!! I can't believe we have been together this long! It seems like yesterday that we were dating. The first V-Day we went there, 2001, I ordered the least expensive entree on the menu because I didn't want him to spend money on me. Chicken Terayaki...who goes to a steak place and orders chicken!!?? I remember our first date, we went to the movies, a Meg Ryan movie no less (because he listens to me and knows what I like), and then to dinner at Outback. I remember sitting across from him, eating, and my eyes began to well up with tears. I was thinking to myself, "I don't deserve this, I don't deserve to be sitting here withthis man, sharing a meal, he is too good for me, I don't deserve, I don't deserve..." Glen thought he had done or said something wrong! I just wasn't used to being treated like a queen or made to feel like a woman, with feelings, emotions, that mattered. Here we are 8 years later, and he has never deviated from who he said he was. I am truly the luckiest person on this planet because God brought him into my life when I needed it the most. He is my inspiration, my rock, my biggest supporter. I bestow on Glen the Best Friend award, because he is my very best friend.
Talk soon...

I want to congratulate you on your award and honorary memberships which I'm sure are well deserved, of course, but I want to also congratulate you on the best part of this entry, your Glen! While I'm sure you still sometimes think you might not be worthy, I hope you know that you are 100% deserving of all Glen's love. And I'll bet that not a day goes by that he doesn't thank his lucky stars for having you in his life.
What a wonderful tribute to him! -
The story was so nice. I am happy you are feeling so great about your relationship. I envy you. Have a good weekend.

Hi Myra,
How terrific ... both the awards and your story. I think you definitely deserve the Nice Matters Award. The Area 51 award sounds interesting ... does that mean you have to cavort with Space Aliens?!?
Best,
Marty
