The Heisman Trophy was presented
I was extremely proud of Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma; he finished second as a freshman. No freshman has ever finished second in the Heisman voting until now. He had a phenominal freshman season and it will culminate in the National Championship Game in Miami.
I have been watching college football for more than 30 years and I don't remember anyone coming in as a true freshman and have the impact that Adrian Peterson has on our team. Even if Jason White didn't win the second Heisman in his 6th and final season, he still has his mind set on the ADT National Championship Trophy.
I will give Lineart his due for being selected as the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner, but I am much more proud of our Sooner finalists; Adrian and Jason.
