Detroit Pistons revenge the two losses
In an amazing display of basketball talent, the Detroit Pistons came back to the Palace in Auburn Hills and beat the San Antonio Spurs in game #3 of the NBA Finals. Unlike the first two games in which nothing seemed to fall for the Pistons, everything was going their way.
Ben Wallace had an amazing first half in which he blocked 5 shots and finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and three steals and his teammates were able to capitalize on his defensive prowess to go into halftime 1 point down; 42-41.
On the offensive side of the court the Pistons had 4 of it 5 starters ended up in double figures and Antonio McDyess came off the bench to score 12 points. Tayshaun Prince and Chauncey Billups combined for 32 points (Billups 20 and Prince 12). Rasheed Wallace added his usual energy to help propel the Pistons to a 96-79 win.
The Pistons sealed the deal in the fourth quarter and where able to keep the Spurs off balance. Richard Hamilton woke up from the funk he was in for the first two games and went off for 24 points. When the Pistons needed to rely on a single player to take over the game they normally call on Chauncey Billups and last night it was no different. Billups has the range to hit three pointers and the ability to penetrate to the basket at will.
I think game 4 will be another high energy game and Detroit will win again and tie the series up 2 to 2. I am predicting the Pistons will take the Finals in 7 games and win their second straight Title.
