The Lion's Den

Appears that Charles Roger’s won’t be playing in any games for the Lion’s for the next four weeks; he will have to serve a 4 game suspension. According to a report he is being suspended for 4 games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Unlike with what happened with Raphael Palmiero, we don’t have the luxury of having a leak within the NFL to tell us exactly what Roger’s was popped for. But it is safe to say that this is his third failed drug test and if he fails another test he would be suspended for one year.

I guess that it is fortunate for the Lion’s that Rogers hasn’t been much of a factor for the Lion’s since he was drafted in the first round three years ago. He missed most of the past two seasons with broken collarbone injuries. He appeared to be healthy this season and ready to compete with new comer Mike Williams for a starting spot. Well, that hadn’t really materialized and now with the four game suspension I would suspect he is not going to be a Lion after his initial contract is up in a couple of years.

We haven’t really been able to see the potential of our receivers since we don’t have a QB that can get the ball to the receivers on a consistent basis. I keep hearing all kinds of excuses being made for Harrington, but it still comes back on him and him alone. He is a talent less bum and he needs to be released.

  Amen---dump Joey--at any cost. Lions would be better off picking the starting QB from a fan lottery pool each week. What's he today at the half---5 of 15 with 2 picks., The guys a joke.
