Elephants/Kilimanja
This drawing was done in rapidiograph pen and ink years ago. It was not traced but grided and made larger on the original done on illustration board (cold press, heavy weight,no.100). Detail was done by using sandpaper (fine) and sanding inked areas (and picked up with kneaded erasor), leaving smaller amounts of ink in certain areas. The photo was from National Geographic. The tusks and clouds are from imagination, and the lioness on the right appeared along with the article. The actual dots of ink can not be seen because of the resolution.

I am enjoying all the different types of art you share in this journal. I didn't inherit any creative artistic genes except for the love of looking at beautiful work... so I can certainly enjoy reading about your photos, and drawings.
I admire you for having the patience, skill, to do this type of work. It is fascinating learning of all the talented things people do with their special gifts. It is special that you take the time to share them all with us.
