Ink on photo print of Rock/Foliage
I apologize for the askew image that I had to take with my camera.
Also, I would not consider this anything but a hobbie that I used to pass time with - at the moment. Here it is April 15, 08 following my successfull back surgery. This is an example of something done to pass time and take my mind off of back pain. I now do hobbie type art work to take my mind off of smoking cigarette's. I do beleive that for people in intense pain, smoking cigarette's should be their choice. I think I was better off smoking the 5 rolled cigarette's a day. My quitting is for myself, and not as a message for others'.
The image of the rock face was taken years ago with a Minolta 35mm and scanned from a poster print into my computer. Using bottles of colored ink and mixing them in drops on a plastic tray, I use a small plastic 'dental pick' to use as a pen or brush. I am working on gloss photo paper so it sticks and dries immediately. I had adjusted the image using editing tools before I made the photo print and did do some drawing into the very bottom edge but mostly left it looking 'fog like'. This is where I am doing the inking as it looked like I had only started working on creating artwork in the photo. I make the individual prints with a casual approach to drawing, and not a pre-set exact pattern to follow.
