AUDITIONS!

The Muir Musical Ensemble Auditions are here!!! Sign-ups are in Galbraith Hall.  Auditions are Tuesday or Wednesday and are an hour long group audition.  You will want to prepare 16-36 bars or 1 minute of a piece of music.  Bring sheet music, and accompianist will be provided.  While the piece should reflect your talent, our main concern is seeing how you interact and work together with others, and also to see your physicality or how well you perform.  I'd rather you sing happy birthday amazingly, then perform a legitimate musical theater piece so-so.

Auditions will be held in Galbraith Hall, Room 23 (a dance rehearsal space in the basement).


Rehearsals are throughout Winter Quarter, with an average of four nights a week.  While the show is a huge commitment, we are also semi-flexible, and the rehearsal schedule will depend on the work ethic of the cast.  

Auditions for the Orchestra will be held on November 20 & 21 in Mandeville.  For more information email Erika at:  etruex@ucsd.edu

    Muir Musical Ensemble

    This organization plans one completely student-run, big budget musical production every Spring quarter. A year-long project combines the talents of performers, production staff, and orchestra members into one of the biggest events on-campus. Past productions include: Once on this Island, Cabaret, Into the Woods, Drood, Pippin, Sunday in the Park with George, Sweeney Todd, and Little Shop of Horrors. Open to all majors and all colleges.
