AS MY HEAD SPINS formerly known as Mumma4evr's life or lack thereof

First of all...please remember Ilive in an old old old house...our new addition is over 150 years old..... and we are in the process of fixing things...so some things look pretty nasty

Like my first pic.......

here I am at the front door...looking in...I can't believe I am posting this!!!!  LOL the carpetting on the stairs was falling apart so I ripped it up...and this is what the stais look like now...tI really need to paint htem but have to find time when no one will be home!

Nan wanted to see an area that makes me feel good...so here is my tub....whenever I can I fillit to the top with hot water and bubbles and sit and read...or just sit and soak...or sit and cry!!!  When I sit and cry, I do it with the lights off

Lisa wanted tos ee how I decorate...well here you are!  LOL   NOT!!!!  this seesmt o be the catch all for everything...heck what am I saying?  The whole house is a catch all!!!! I really need to clean that area up...

OUr home has 3 blocked off fireplaces.....I have thought of unblocking them but....all the thought of all extra work makes me tired!!!!

So, this is the fireplace in our living room....I really love the  iron screen inthe front....the picture is of us in October of 99....the year we legally became parents...that sounds like we weren't legal parents before that...huh????     on the middle of the fireplaceis a picture of the lighthouse at Gloucester MA....my Nana, my Mom's mom, was born there...my great great grandfather was the light house keeper...his name was George Bailey

on the other side of the wall from the livingroom is the diningroom... with it's blocked off fireplace.

In the middle you can see our goldfish that refuses to die and go live with his buddies..I callhim Fred, not sure why. On the far rightis a picture of me...in my Navy uniform.  I am very very proud to be a Navy Vet!!!!  On top of the clock are some Snowbabies my mother gave me, there are 4 of them to represent my 4 kids.  I also have 3 pinch pots  that were made by jenna and Ethan

Iknow LIsa asked for furniture placement...LOL I will try to clean up a bit before I dare take any!!!!

  We had that exact same door on the A-frame, but changed it out when we moved back to Alabama.  I was afraid of someone breaking the window out to gain access, so we replaced it with a wooden door.  The A-frame was built out of two houses that were torn down which were over 100 years old.  That material was salvaged and thus the A-frame was born!  We had some steps in the A-frame that looked very similar.  I love old houses.

  I would love to purchase an old house and slowly fix it up!  Looks like your house has loads of potential.  Love the fireplaces.  Too bad they're blocked off.

  Bless your heart it is an old house..It has charm but with that charm comes all the other stuff huh. Why do you live by the church...Just curious

  Ahh the bath, somehow I knew it was going to be that of course. Enjoy it, you deserve it. You must have some very interesting stories and maybe old pictures of the light house and George Bailey that you could possibly share when you have a chance that is. I'd love to hear about that!!
