how is the weather in Florida???
so, SHE gets off the bus at 4PM and tells me SHE is going to move to Florida with NewGuy and she is going to have independence from me and I cannot keep her from having her independence., SHE is going to live her own life even if I don't like it.....she tells me I need to give her independence and treat her as an adult......
Ok, whatever you say. If you want indenepndence and to be treated as an adult...have at it
Fifteen minutes later she comes to me and hands me an empty pill bottle and tells me that I need to call it in to be refilled....
Me: call it in yourself
SHE: Huh?
Me: Look, you want independence, you want to be treated as an adult, thisis what adults do.
SHE gets the phone and dials, listens and hangs up.
Me: what is wrong?
SHE: the lady is too quiet.
ME: so try again
SHE tries again and hangs up.
So, I tell her that I will help...we call on the speaker phone of my cell...and she listens and then tries to hit the last number they suggest. You know: push 1 if you need a refill, push 2 if you are a DRs office, push 3 if you want to speak to the pharmacist, push 4 to talk to the manager....
I hang up after SHE pushed 4 and told her SHE needs to listen...because she should have pressed 1 for a refill.....
After I walk her through it, I asked her if SHe was sure SHE wants her independence....and of course, the answer was yes.....
She does want it as long as SHE knows I will bail her out of things.....

Ya know, Nicci's the same way. Wants her independence but expects me to handle everything!

Your going to have to crank down on her or let her go make her mistakes so she can see for herself. I hope you can get things straightened out one way or another. I would be in the loony bin!

Wow, i've just been catching up and my head is spinning. It must be such a roller coaster. We'll at least she got ready of the idiot. though usually people leave a bit of a gap between one guy and the other. I think she's just at that age where she wants independence. I'm counting down the days to when I can move out, not because I don't get along with my family. For the most part I do but everyone wants that freedom, she just doesn't realise that she won't be able to do it all on her own. She's lots of things she still needs to learn first. I'm sure you've told her this many times. Sometimes we just have to learn the lessons ourselves, the hard way.
I do like your hair cut, very nice.
