WHY REPUBLICANS CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH OUR SECURITY

So, now i receive the following "comment" from another right-wing idealogue eager to mis-represent history, ignore facts, and fictionalize reality. Here's what 'sirskye45' had to tell me recently. I'll correct the dolt momentarily:

"The question that sheepboy avoids in his ramblings is..."which party do the TERRORIST want to win in november?...the answer is the DEMOCRATS..the cut and run party that sheepboy is so desperately trying to claim is a party of reason...LOL..talk about burying your head in the sand...Sheepboy needs to go back and read history...chamberlain 1939...treaty with nazi germany..the british prime minister stepping off a plane with the treaty in his hand yelling.."peace in our time"...6 years later 55 milion dead...I notice how sheepboy talks very little about facts and details...because he knows he cant win when those are used...those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it...democrats are the quislings of our time...only the REPUBLICANS understand what has to be done to win the war on terror....god bless the USA and our president..death to islamic fascists and traitors<g>"

Where to begin regarding the incorrectness of all this nonsense? let's see ....

1. brainiac: read "The One Percent Doctrine," or, in fact, read anything (assuming you can read at all). The Jihadists, if you ever bothered to study your enemy, WANT us to occupy their countries and they want us to help them recruit more terrorists and they expect their wars to last dozens, if not hundreds, of years. their plan, moron, is to make us go broke, and to extend us, wearing out our resources, while getting their idiotic ideology to go from being marginalized to respected in the Muslim world. they NEED and want and desire an IDEOLOGICAL enemy, which means, logically, they DESIRE the Bushies, or their idiotic policies, at least, to continue. the LAST thing the terrorists want or need is a new government here dedicated to smart military operations, strong homeland security policies, rebuilding our alliances, and improving our image in the Muslim world through diplomacy and dialogue. MORON. the last thing they want is, for example, for us to leave Iraq. In november, and '08, Osama and his boys are rooting REPUBLICAN all the way.

this is the central thesis of my blog: that republicans are BAD for our national security.

2. your analogy to Chaimberlain and the Nazis is idiotic precisely because it is inaccurate  and inapplicable. there is no common ground. you are just lying. making shit up. NO democrat on earth is urging an end to the war on terror or our pursuit of Al Quida. We are insisting, with facts on OUR side, that the war in Iraq is HURTING the war on terror. Imagine instead of your specious analogy, the United States wrapped up fighting the Nazis and Roosevelt idiotically deciding to invade mexico and canada at the same time. that would have taken AWAY from the effort to defeat the nazis. this is what happened with Iraq. but to clarify for the intellectually challenged republicans out there: neither I nor any mainstream democrat is urging 'capitulation' or 'surrender' or 'cutting and running' against TERRORISTS. we are urging removing ourselves from the muck and quagmire of a civil war that has nothing to do whatsoever with our war on terror.

3. and besides, if you really knew anything about history, 'sirskye,' you would know it was a LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD WHO MADE WAR ON THE NAZIS UNTIL THEY WERE ULTIMATELY DESTROYED. IT WAS PATHETIC, APPEASING CONSERVATIVES WHO URGED OUR NATION TO STAY OUT OF THAT CONFLICT, WHO SUPPORTED 'NEUTRALITY,' AND WHO DIDN'T GIVE A RAT'S ASS ABOUT ALL THE MILLIONS BEING KILLED EACH DAY. name me a major military conflict in our history in which conservative republicans EVER led us to victory?? WWI? Wilson. WW2? Roosevelt. Korea and Vietnam, less than stellar leadership from either party. Gulf War 1? OK--your big victory by a conservative  president. Congratulations. One who, incidentally, warned very sternly AGAINST invading Iraq, proposing it was directly OPPOSED to our national interest.

tell me what "facts and history,"  moron, could possibly support  your deviant assertion that our current policies are somehow in our national security interest? I challenge you to a debate  on this subject. Truth is: YOU GUYS don't have a clue what it takes to win the war on terror. For crying out loud, you guys didn't even know that there were Shiites and Sunni in Iraq who hated each other's guts and would fight to the death rather than join in some sort of democratic coalition, YOU GUYS let Osama Bin Laden escape from Tora Bora, YOU GUYS let the warlords run the Afghan countryside, YOU GUYS took assets out of Afghanistan, permitting the Taliban to reassert themselves, YOU GUYS forgave Khadaffi for blowing up an airplane and killing innocent people, YOU GUYS made friends with dictators in Pakistan and Uzbehkistan and Saudi Arabia, YOU GUYS sold our national debt to brutal communist dictators  in China, YOU GUYS gutted our economy to help out rich people in a time of war with unnecessary tax breaks, and YOU GUYS failed to even get WATER to the convention center in New Orleans when disaster struck.

YOU GUYS couldn't fight terrorism, let alone keep us safe, if your lives depended  on it. Oh wait, they do. too bad we have such piss-poor leadership trying to sink our ship.

but don't worry, we're gonna start fixing things in November and again in '08. then, you can take your corrupt, selfish, arrogant, orwellian, political lies and bullshit and shove them right up your ass.

I feel a lot better now. Again ...

Feeling Sad

Well, here's my first "comment" (below), and I use the term loosely, from some right-wing wack job brainiac who "blogs under the name Supercool." His words, as you'll see below are illustrative of my exact point: that Republicans can't be trusted with our national security, or much of anything else. I mean, look who dwells among the 33% or so that still, shockingly, support their misguided policies? This dolt (below)! unbelievable.

what the ideologically fanatical, corrupt, elite Republican leadership and their tacticians like the criminal Rove do is frame debates so that brainless morons like this can think and vote in terms like the following, which this dolt had to say to me recently. (spelling errors are his, i can assure you:)

"I would say that you must be a demorat who wants terriosm to visit you home. You have little understanding of the truth. Demorats are liars and don't know what the truth is. Vote for Democrats is a vote for terriosm, higher taxes and more lies. Read my blog by "supercool" if you want the real truth."

Those who disagree now actually "want terrorism" to visit our OWN homes! see what I mean. this is the level of intellect we get out of the right wing's sheep who support them in all that they do to trash our country. and yet, sadly, these sheep are the very people who gave us the corrupt and off-track leadership we now toil under. how pathetic that our nation has come down to political power residing in the hands of the likes of "frd86brnc2" or 'supercool' or whatever ...

This is why it is incumbent on those of us with intellect and reason and logic still intact to take a stand this november and throw out the kind of leaders who appeal to such simpletons. the kind of leaders who ride bulls into china shops and wreck everything and then say, dumbly, "you shouldn't have put china on those shelves." Reject leadership by stupidity in November. Let's do the right thing and send 'supercool' and his ilk back to the hills of unreason, where they belong, to dwell in the darkness of their hatred, blissfully unaware of either their own ignorance, or the damage they have caused to our wonderful country and its institutions.

LET'S CHANGE THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE AND RESUME THE OVERSIGHT PROCESS, SHALL WE?

Ever Wish ... :

The President and his Political handlers have concocted an Orwellian fiction with this bizarre public relations campaign (like the ones that preceded it) in which they mix up the War in Iraq with the War in Terror, jumble it all up, and declare that we are somehow fighting 'fascists' in Iraq and those of us who disagree are either 'weak,' 'cutters and runners,' or 'appeasers,' etc etc. what they fail to incorporate into their simplistic and inaccurate campaign (I could hardly call it 'analysis') are two factors:

1. those who oppose the war in IRAQ, specifically, largely oppose it BECAUSE we feel with huge amounts of factual justification that it is draining resources from, and harming overall, the important and needed War on Terror. their campaign, however, is designed to mislead and confuse by making it sound as if we somehow oppose the War on Terror itself. We oppose the war in Iraq BECAUSE it hurts the war on terror, OK, you Neocon Orwellian misleaders?

2. the bizarre analogies to WW2 and fascists and nazis are so strange and unnatural that any free thinker should understand there is obviously no connection between the two situations, or to what is best for our security. THESE are the people who armed and befriended true fascists like Sadaam and coddled Islamic extremists during the Cold War. Read the "One Percent Doctrine" and understand clearly that the War on Terror has gone awry largely because of: (A.) the war in Iraq; (B) the president's fealty to the Neo-Cons who, make no mistake about it, are themselves extremists, just the opposite side of a bad coin of the those whom we are fighting against. the problem when engaging in a war with extremists is you canNOT have extremists running that war. you need pragmatists. people who pay attention to facts, history, advisers, experts, and certain realities.

IF one is concerned about national security and winning the war on terror and keeping the homeland safe, then logically, IF one is honest and does one's homework, one canNOT possibly support a policy that involves:

a. draining financial, human, military, and intelligence resources in the slog of a mindless, secterian civil war.

b. not having a single CLUE about what causes the secterian violence between sunni or shia, nor how to stop it. Therefore, any such policy that does NOT include at its center a method for ENDING secterian violence in iraq can ONLY be referred logically to as a policly in support of quagmire. that is the BUSH policy: quagmire. not a clue. don't think for a moment they have a clue how to improve things over there, with or without our military presence. they don't.

c. finally, a policy that virtually ignores spending meaningful funds and resources and time and effort on HOMELAND SECURITY cannot be one that those interested in security would support. RESEARCH, my friends, what is (or rather, isn't) being done to protect nuclear plants, chemical plants, damns, bridges, reservoirs, large public gatherings. examine what happened in the last huge national emergency we encountered and how well our federal 'plan' for protecting people worked: a year ago during Katrina.

IF you want security and IF you want a pragmatic policy geared toward protecting our national interest, and IF you are honest and logical, then you can ONLY conclude that Republican hegemony over our government must end soon, at all costs. Congressional oversight must be returned. The Republican Congress must be ended in these mid-term elections and, in two years, a wise and true leader MUST be elected.

IF you care about SECURITY, then PLEASE ignore the lies and deceit coming out of the White House's political office and work to turn these morally bankrupt leaders out of office. after all, their track record and FACTS illustrate they have NO credibility to protect our National Security OR win the war on Terror.

WE CAN DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!
