Medical Question for America

Recognizing that in a perfect world all Americans should have first rate health care, let me present you with this situation:

You have two individuals and two hospital beds.

The first hospital bed is at George Washington Hospital, one of the finest hospitals in the country. It has a wonderful reputation for care and it’s accommodations are like staying in a four star hotel suite.

The second bed is at Walter Reed Hospital. At one time, Walter Reed was also well respected. But that was years ago and now its’ reputation is substandard. Its’ aftercare apartments have holes in the walls, rats and black mold hanging like an attitude of disrespect.

Now consider the two individuals.

You have an individual who when his country was at war stated that “he had better things to do” than serve in the military. This same individual has gone on to become a profiteer making money by cutting serves to the troops who are now at war.

The second individual who made the choice to heed his country’s call not caring whether he agreed with the administration or not. He made the choice knowing full well the sacrifices and prices both he and his family might pay. He places himself in harm’s way and gives the fullest measure. He suffers physically, emotionally, financially and mentally. He loses limbs and emotional wellbeing.

Now I ask you, who would you place where?
