Netherlands braces for 'jihad'
On the very same day that Americans were going to the polls, choosing leaders which caused the entire continent of the Euroweenies to go into catatonic shock, another horrific assassination happened in Holland. A Dutch film maker and member of the famous Van Gogh family was murdered because one of his works had offended Islam. Immediately the Dutch citizens proclaimed that they were not going to allow this type of terror to infect their country. They were going to stop it! Earth to Holland: You and what army? ~~Edna Barney
THE HAGUE — The Dutch government yesterday vowed tough measures against what a leading politician called "the arrival of jihad in the Netherlands" after a death threat to a Dutch lawmaker was found spiked with a knife to the body of a slain filmmaker by his radical Muslim attacker. The letter to Holland from Islamists: "Death, Ms. Hirsi Ali, is the common theme of all that exists. You and the rest of the cosmos cannot escape this truth," the letter said.
"There will come a day when one soul cannot help another soul. A day that goes paired with terrible tortures, ... when the unjust will press horrible screams from their lungs.
"Screams, Ms. Hirsi Ali, that will cause chills to run down a person's back, and make the hairs on their heads stand straight up. People will be drunk with fear, while they are not drunken. Fear will fill the air on the Great Day," the letter said.
"I know definitely that you, Oh America, will go down. I know definitely that you, Oh Europe, will go down. I know definitely that you, Oh Netherlands, will go down. I know definitely that you, Oh Hirsi Ali, will go down," it said.

Dutch Courage
Authorities in the Netherlands are responding to a terrorist murder of a filmmaker by cracking down on free speech, reports the blog Live From Brussels:
In the Netherlands, artist Chris Ripke reacted to the murder on Theo Van Gogh by an islamic fundamentalist by painting a mural with the text "Gij zult niet doden" ("Thou Shalt Not Kill"), one of the ten commandments of the Christian religion.
But because the head of the nearby mosque complained to the police that this was 'offensive' and 'racist', the cops came and sent in city workers to sandblast the mural. A local journalist, Wim Nottroth, who wanted to protest against this by standing in front of the mural was arrested. His story, in Dutch, here. Video of the event, here.
