I'm just writing to answer the questions/comments I received on my entry about Lexi...if I get anymore, I'll be happy to answer them. :)

Brandi -- I'm actually just looking into getting her checked for ADD, but at this point, I'm not ruling it out.  I've seen other kids benefit from the medication as well...my friend's son is one of them.  As far as being held back, she's actually the youngest in her class--our school district has a September 30th birthday deadline, hers is on September 13th.  So when everyone else in her class is 8, for example, she's only 7.  If she's held back, she'll be the same age as everyone else in her class. *PS--I love the poem you wrote about your dad.  That is very touching.  As you can see, I linked your journal...that's how much I liked it (and the other entries too). ;-)

Pixiedustnme -- I wish I had thought of that 3 years ago, but at the time, she was acting advanced for her age--when she was in Head Start, she literally knew everything they were teaching the rest of the class.  If I only knew then what I know now...

Baabyblueeyes -- I checked into the website you recommended regarding Asperger's...she doesn't fall into that category.  Her teacher told me she has no problem interacting socially with her peers, it's just that she is having a hard time academically.  But thanks for the info. :)
