Feeling Cheerful
Once more around the wall of Jericho
There is a big change coming for this country. And I want you to be informed about the fact that you are not voting for a personality, but a party platform and what it stands for. Be aware that whoever gets in will have to do whatever their party represents no matter what it says as they are sworn to support it.
For a Christian perspective on it, listen to this if you have a moment. http://www.bvov.tv/kcm/ondemand/2008bvc.php It verifies what I said, or you can always read over in http://journals.aol.com/tsalagiman1/the-first-amendment-not-politi/ for another opinion.
I know I have been absent from keeping this journal up. I came in with good intentions and am making my way back toward being the person God wants me to be. I've slipped far away from it after the last church I attended and became involved in had so much politics going on within. I don't think that church should have so much in-fighting and competition to be the pastor's favorite son or daughter, or the downright meanness that I saw go on behind the scenes. I was discusted and just needed a little bit of down time. The downtime has been almost a year later and only now am I considering going back to the one my husband is involved in.
I have a lot to say and a lot to give and to teach and that's what this forum was supposed to be about. I'm going to get myself together a little bit more with the Lord's help and then I'll continue.

Feeling Quiet
ARE ANGELS JUST PEOPLE WITH WINGS?

Due to losing several loved ones over the Christmas holiday and during the past year, I have noticed tags and comforting letters all around with common mistruths that I would like to clarify in this journal.
In the Old Testament, Psalm 8:4-5, we read: "What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that Thou visitest him? Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels; with glory and honour hast Thou crowned him, and Thou hast set him over the works of Thy hands." From this it is clear that in the beginning God created man in a state "a little lower than the angels" -- after all, man was created after God had created the angels. However, when Jesus came to earth, who is the Son of God and allowed Himself to become a man, the dignity of humanity was elevated and man is now in a state above that of the angels! How do we know that? In the New Testament, I Corinthians 6:2-3, we read: "Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels?"
Angels and people are different *Everyone becomes an angel and goes to heaven when they die. <This opinion is wrong for at least three reasons:
- Not all angels end up in heaven.
- People and angels are different.
- The Bible never states that people turn into angels.
Revelations chapter 4-7 is a lengthy passage but you will notice that everyone is gathered around the throne. Although white robes are given to the martyrs, no where does it mention that people are changed into angelic beings.
Matthew 17 records a passage where Jesus is speaking with Elijah and with Moses. It never says they look like angels nor are they angels.
Angels appear to us in the form of humans so they will be something we can recognize and not to promote fear which does not come from God. True angelic appearances always come with a message from God. The Holiness and Power radiating from them is because they have been in the presense of a Holy God. People quake with awe and fear upon seeing these beings. If you notice, the first thing spoken, which is necessary for us humans to hear upon such an occasion is, "Fear Not!"
There is one last concept to consider which also contradicts popular opinon. It is the fact that not every one who dies goes to heaven. Here is a short list of common but non-biblical beliefs. Although many don't like it, the Bible has been proven to be true.
What Most People Think
Everyone becomes an angel and goes to heaven when they die.
Whoever obeys the Ten Commandments will go to heaven.
Whoever goes to church will go to heaven.
Whoever does more good things than bad things will go to heaven.
Whoever believes in God will go to heaven.
Whoever has not killed anyone or done anything really bad will go
to heaven.
Everyone in a Christian household will go to heaven.
THESE OPINIONS SEEM OK BUT THEY ARE ALL WRONG.
“If none of these are opinions stated above are correct, then who gets to go to heaven?” you may ask. The answer is simple. The people who get to go to heaven are the ones who “get right with God” by beginning a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, understanding how to “get right with God” became unclear as organized religion developed over the centuries. (Removing the various “changes” added by organized religion is one of the primary reasons for the existence of this site.) Although “religious people” have been telling others how to go to heaven for a long time, what they say can be distorted by their opinions. That is why it is vital to go back to the unchanging foundation—the Bible. For example, the apostle Paul refuted the false teachings of his day and told everyone how to “get right with God” using the first century version of the Internet—a letter. This letter is recorded in the Bible as the book of Galatians, and is available for all of us to learn from today. And also, John the Baptist came preaching a new message no one had ever heard before. Up until then, everyone just tried to keep the laws of the Torah. He came preaching in a loud voice saying, REPENT!
If you want to know how to get right with God and make sure that you see your loved ones who went to heaven again, here is how.
GETTING RIGHT WITH GOD
Most of these opinions were introduced into society's thinking when prayer was taken out of school and a more 'modern' thought was introduced as more tolerant, more acceptable, called HUMANISM. And then there was the Liberal people who slammed us as being too narrow minded and called Diversity and Tolerance openmindedness. They were and still open minded and tolerate of any religion other than Christianity. Because of the scripture that states that, "strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matt. 7:14, we are considered narrow minded. Not every lifestyle and opinion is tolerable and acceptable Biblically. You can't get to heaven your way.
WHO CAN GET TO HEAVEN?
I realize that this entry is not popular and is oppositional to everything that is now considered open minded. To the peoplewho think that all you have to do is be a good person and believe in God, let me tell you what I know. Many people believe that their faith is merely willing to trust Christ as their personal savior, independent from any further acts of obedience. They continue to live exactly as before they prayed that prayer. A real relationship with him is more than an idea of the mind, or as some say, they made a 'decision'. True relationship needs to make the drop about two feet deeper down into your heart. If it is only an understanding about Him, or a simple decision for Him, then we are not any better than the devil himself for Jesus said in James 2:19, "You believe that there is one God. You do well. EVEN THE DEVILS BELIEVE AND TREMBLE!"
Whose side are you really on?

Feeling Hopeful
Hearing GodTubetv
MERCY CAME RUNNING & MERCY SAID NO
I realize that by the Grace of God I am still here. Each day is a gift that I don't deserve. I am eternally grateful for Him taking my wretched broken and very sad life and giving me hope and a future. He literally turned it all around. I'm living a miracle. I am a miracle. I have so many testamonies about how I should be dead yet He's spared my life so that when it is my time to go to Him, I will be ready to meet Him. He doesn't want to ever tell any of us to Depart from Him, I never knew you.
Just like in the Old Testament in the middle of a curse they had brought upon themselves, God spoke out a promise in the middle of it that He would deliver them if they would just call upon His Name. Babylon was cursed for 70 years, an average span of a persons life. My life personally felt cursed once but now it is Blessed because of His Name, the power of the Blood, His Mercy, His Grace, and His Blessing. Everything that happens to me now is for His Glory.
This is one of my favorite scriptures:
Jer 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Ironically, this verse--on so many hearts, posters and mirrors--is smack dab in the middle of God's pronounced judgment of 70 years captivity.
Here it is, in context:
Jer 29:10-14 (NIV) This is what the Lord says: "When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

WATER GRAVE
Bible Verse:
Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
I have been looking for this video for weeks. So glad I could find it tonight.
Lyrics below:
WATER GRAVE
In my house there's been a mercy killing. The man I used to be has been crucified. And the death of this man was the final way of revealing, In the spiritual way to live, I had to die. Now if I let that dead man linger in me, I might get a little idle in my way. So, I'm going down to the celebration river, And take this dead man down to a water grave.
I'm goin' down to the river. And I'm gonna be buried alive. I want to show my Heavenly Father, The man I use to be has finally died.
Now when I think of where I'm goin', In terms of where I've been, It makes me glad to know, my Lord, that I've been born again. Now when I think of where I'm goin', In terms of where I've been, It makes me glad to know, my Lord, that I've been born again.
I'm goin' down to the river, And I'm gonna be buried alive, in Jesus Name, I want to show my Heavenly Father, The man I use to be has finally died.

Feeling Happy
Hearing JASON WADE/EVERYTHING VIDEO
YOU'RE HIS EVERYTHING
What stands between you and God? What is it that is keeping you from asking Jesus to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life? Are you waiting for things to get better? Do you think you have to give up a bunch of stuff first and change your life first? This isn't true. Jesus takes you just the way you are and will help you to clean up your life. Maybe you are waiting until you are able to forgive someone, or clean up your life from drugs, alcohol, or pornography? Only the love of God can give you enough strength to forgive or to resist temptations. Maybe you think that you have seen Christians before and if you were one you certainly wouldn't be one LIKE THAT! Maybe you believe that being a Christian is not for the more intelligent who are able to rationalize things and are not emotional in their beliefs. What is it exactly that you are waiting for? Jesus is real. Heaven is real and Hell is real and it is a place you do not want to go. Eternity is a long, long time. You are loved. Ask for Him to come into your life today and be the one in charge. Look what our best ideas and decisions have caused. But if you let Him be the Lord of your life, things will turn out for the best in the long run because He knows the end from the beginning and He has your best interests at heart. You are loved. He longs to spend time with you and there are always other things in the way, work, relationships, too many other 'fun' things. IF you only knew how much more fun and enriching life can be with Jesus than without Him you'd choose to have a relationship with Him. There is such a thing as sin and we are all sinners. Without Christ, we are bound for a hell that was never created for us and Jesus death and resurrection made us a way of escape. Sin will take you where you don't want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you can ever afford. A good loving God doesn't send people to hell. He made a way of escape. We have a free will to choose Heaven or Hell and in the meantime, live a quality, happy and productive life. So the choices are up to us, not some mean God who is running things far away. He longs to have a relationship with you, He has done everything possible for you to come to Him if only you would give yourself to Him. If you would like to accept Jesus as Saviour and have never done it, or if you have in the past and slipped back into old behaviours, just pray this prayer below and mean it from the bottom of your heart.
WHAT MUST YOU DO TO BE SAVED?
The Bible provides a clear answer. Here are the logical steps from God's Word, the Bible, that all must take to be saved.
ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SIN
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
First, see yourself for what you are...a sinner. Sin is tragic, vile...it blights, degrades, destroys. It has dire consequences: ..."the soul that sinneth, it shall die." "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
REPENT OF YOUR SIN
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out... Acts 3:19
You must also repent. Repentance is not making a resolution to do better. It is not just conviction of sin, for a person may be convinced that he is wrong and still not repent. D.L. Moody liked to describe repentance this way: "Man is born with his back toward God. When he truly repents, he turns right around and faces God. Repentance is a change of mind, a change of heart, and it results in a change of action."
As the Bible says, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD... for he will abundantly pardon." You must change your mind about sin and want God to end its mastery over you. After all, sin is so bad it took Christ's death to make forgiveness possible.
BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Believe in the completed work Christ accomplished on the cross. You must believe that Christ substituted Himself for you, that He died for your sins (though He never sinned), and that He was resurrected from death. "...the chastisement of our peace was upon Him." Our sins nailed Him to the cross, and "with his stripes we are healed." "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."
MAKE YOUR DECISION
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
You must believe in Christ and receive Him personally into your life by faith if you are to be saved from the power of sin and its consequences. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
Will you pray to God something like this?
"God, I'm convinced I am a sinner, and that Christ alone can save me. I willingly repent of my sinful life and believe Jesus Christ died for me. I want to receive Him as my personal Savior."
If you have prayed this and sincerely meant it, please write me with your address and let me know that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior. I want to send you something to help you begin your new relationship with God.
