Feeling Happy
April Showers
The above picture is from a shower I had last Saturday, given by my co-workers. We had a wonderful time! The little hat and sweater was knitted by someone I work with. Isn't it cute?! I wish I was crafty like that!
I got a lot of wonderful things... clothes, blankets, books, a diaper Genie, shoes and socks...etc. We had a little Dr. Seuss theme complete with green deviled eggs and a Dr. Seuss cake!
Isn't that cake just the most adorable? I also got that book, and Yertle the Turtle!
The blanket was knitted by my boss. It's beautiful. I swear, I am the only one in the building who does not knit!
So, that was last Saturday... Saturday night Hailey had a dance performance and did awesome. It involved a lot of local dance troops plus the college danceline. It was fun to watch all the different routines and the music was really good, too.
Sunday was a repeat of Saturday! Another shower (with some of Mike's family) and another dance performance!
Here I am holding up an Eddie Bauer head support. LOL. Hailey is on my left, yawning...LOL and Mike's stepsister Pat in on my right. I could show you tons of pics of me opening things, but you might get bored with that and plus they are taking forever to upload!!! My mom is having a shower for me April 12th, and that will be my final one. I never thought I'd have so many! Here are a couple of pics of Hailey dancing:
I was disappointed that so many of the pictures turned out blurry, we just bought this camera before our cruise. I think there is something wrong with it - we will probably be bringing it back.
Other than that... I am 36 weeks and 3 days!!! Wow, I am getting so close... I am very anxious to have this baby! Everything has been going fine... except for minor problems like not being able to get comfortable, breathe, and having to pee 500 times a day. LOL. I now see the doctor every week. Last Friday when I saw her she said my cervix was soft and dialated to one centimeter. She said, "I am sure you will at least make it to 38 weeks." Boy, I would love to have her right around then! We will see. It's only 24 days until my actual due date. I have another appointment on Friday so we will see what transpires.
I am still RUNNING! I think it's kind of funny at this point because I feel so clumsy... I sure worked up a sweat yesterday! I was on the treadmill for 40 minutes. I feel pretty good except for my big belly. LOL. The baby seems to be getting cramped in there, she is kicking less and squirming more. I hope she wants to come out soon and meet us!
I got my registration for the half marathon today, I am so excited. It reminds me of my old life before my body was taken over. LOL. I can't wait to get back to my old shape. SOON.

those are some lovely gifts and you look great. hailey looks so cute up on stage in her costume. i love to knit, i have made so many blankets, sweater sets and booties, even made a big blanket for my bed, slippers and scarfs and hats. arthritis has taken it's toll on my hands so i can't knit as much now. get plenty of rest now cause very soon there's no more sleeping straight through the night, lol. (((((hugs)))))))

I just LOVE the hand made items, I too, wish I could do that, I've tried, it's doable, but I just don't stick with it !!!

Im so glad you got to have some showers! That is such a joy and a help! I am scheduled to have my little girl on the 23rd so maybe we will have our babies the same day hehe :)
