...On St. Patrick's Day:

Sorry....but I had to show you.   Yes my friends, this is the corned beef that we "attempted" to eat last night.   I did some last minute shopping yesterday, and it was slim pickings for the Irish Beef.   

Warning...here it is again....

Up close and Personal:

There IS a bright side to all of this though...

Besides all the wonderful side dishes that accompany such a meal...the corned beef was not a total loss.

  Ruben's are my favorite sandwich!    The toasted Rye with Swiss cheese is delicious.     Just Corned Beef does not taste as good to me as the Ruben.    I am sitting on the stool in front of my computer longer tonight than I have been able to for month's.   I am hoping that my back can have surgery to remove the narrowing of my lumbar pressing on the spinal cord so I don't have to go through another winter like this last one.    I was told it is the 'easier' of the back surgeries to go through.    By being on the waiting list with the back surgeon from what I was told was due to the lack of funding by Medicaid, I have had time to realize that the condition is not going to improve on it's own.    I am glad I got caught up on your journal as I have not been able to keep up with alerts even though I shut many of them off.    mark

   I would never eat it if it looked like that, LOL.  Isn't that why they invented Ruebins?
