Monday Photo Shoot

I've finally decided to play along with John over at his Monday photo shoot.   After all, the topic was blooms and blossoms....how can I resist?  But here in NY, there isn't much going on in that area, but this challenge got me to go outside and walk around my yard with eyes wide open...in search of any signs of growth.

That's never a bad thing....keeping one's eyes open...nor seeking out growth.

It's wet and dewy here, without any sun shining...but I kinda like what I found.

Here's my fave:   A young Pussy Willow....

And finally, see if you can find my "little man"...

(I swear I'm not crazy)!

I like these shots. There is a sort of innocence about them

The blooms look wonderful.    I have 'bing' or sweet cherry - one large tree which may be getting too cold tonight into the low 20's to produce.    It is too large and tall to get to the cherries so the birds get them.   My other 'pie' or tart tasting cherry always produces around Memorial Day.     So your cherry tree is producing very early.   Nature's budding process is magnificent.    The apple and peach farms may be taking a complete loss here with this cold snap from last night and tonight.    The last complete loss was in 1955.     I can see the 'little man' and he looks to be like one of the carved African statues.     mark

I've got the first flowers-crocus-purple, white and yellow ones. They shoot up right through the snow and are the first sign of hope for spring. Some buds, lots of shoots. But nowhere, Nowhere, do I have little men in bloom-amazing
