Hanging on with Hope

Hi all,

Just felt like posting something...and since I still have not been feeling well, I related to these little guys on our bamboo plant... just hanging on.

Also, I'm feeling hopeful.    I'm always hopeful.  And this is one of my all time favorite plants.   I call it  "The Butterfly Plant"... or  "The Eye Blinker Plant" more specifically, known as "Phlox".

It actually closes up it's "wings" at night...and reopens with the daylight.    I can relate to that as well.

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!!

There is a person with property covered with bamboo that grows in S. Illinois.    I would like to have some growing where my willow grows in a depression area that holds water, then flows downhill as my property is on a hillside, gently sloping down.     It is great in that I never have to worry about flooding because I am on the highest area around.     It also makes my septic system work perfectly.     I really like the 'Phlox'; beautiful photo!     I did fix my truck since I commented in your journal earlier.     My mechanic replaced my fuel pump but the wiring connection had one wire that needed attention because it had oxidized, ( 1986 truck ) turning the copper wiring black, causing a bad connection.     I had to use sandpaper to remove the outer black exposing the copper.   I put the wiring back together and the truck started right up.     If I had my tool box with me yesterday I would have saved the towing expense!     mark

THat is a cool plant!  I see them in all green during St. Patrick's day but the purple leaves are very eyecatching.   Hope you are feeling better now!  Maria  http://journals.aol.com/gotomaria/TheLittleThings/
