AOL Photo Challenge
Believe it or not, I found this challenge to be a rather difficult one. It's all about "Love".
"With Valentine's day upon us this month, our next challenge was suggested by Betty.
Of course, this can be of anything that represents love. There are many forms of love, so this should be an easy challenge.
Love is all around us......so find it, capture it, or just use a photo from the past, that says it!"
The reason that I found this to be so challenging is because there are an infinite number of ways to depict love...and perhaps all photos demonstrate a form of it in some way or another.
But love is not always filled with smiles and sparkling eyes. Sometimes love is sad. Sometimes love means letting go.
Stu rescued Bubba from beneath some Amtrak Train tunnels in NYC. He was an abandoned kitten whom the Vet did not expect would live. But Stu did not give up as he continued to love and nurture Bubba back to health. Soon, he was flourishing as a happy, silly and wise cat.
About 11 years later, Bubba developed a brain tumor. We were not sure how it would progress and were given many choices by the Vet. All the while, we made sure that our sweet kitty was not in too much pain. After over a year of monthly cortisone injections, hospitalizations, and sometimes giving Bubba water with an eye dropper....it became clear that it was time to let him go.
Here is one of the last photos that I took of Stu and Bubba....I think it just about screams "love".

I thought this was one of the best you've taken. So glad Stu allowed his true self to be photographed. He's wonderful.
