Freaky Friday

Here's one of Martha's challenges...."Freaky Friday!" We are to post any photo we want.

Well today, Kat came out to see our place and spend the night. Here we sit, going through photos taken earlier today...and I log on and see Martha's challenge. So I grabbed my camera and told Kat to take a shot of us together. Snickers decided to get in on the action, and well...here ya go! (Unedited, goofy and after a few glasses of wine!)

Black and White Landscape

I truly was not going to enter this challenge as I have such little knowledge and experience in Black and White Photography. But in order to challenge myself, I decided to find a photograph that I took less than a week ago at a local New Jersey Winery...and turn it into a black and white.

I'm not sure if it works, but I like the feeling it gives me. I guess that, by itself, is a good thing!

Hi,

Here are the rest of my Bronx zoo pics. (Who am I kidding...I took over a hundred more...this is just what I'm sharing!)

As most of you know, I had met up with Kat, Marie, and a few of their relatives. It was a hot, crowded day...but we had a great time! Some of you may be surprised at how nice this zoo is, so please take a look at the slideshow.

Another Day in the Park

Hi,

This past Wednesday, Michelle and I met halfway between our homes at a park in Connecticut. It was a beautiful day all around (ok, maybe not the driving around Hartford part)! Michelle has become a very special friend of mine and it is so exciting that we are able to see each other once in a while now.

I hope you enjoy the photos of our day. (Click on "View Larger"...you can always make the slideshow go by faster by changing the number of seconds it shows)!

We're supposed to show any type of variety of the same thing. At the time that I suggested it, I had some great ideas. Unfortunately, they've all left my mind!

My buddy, Sam, over at Dock Lines was given a choice as to which photos I should show next from my trip to the NY Botanical Gardens. He chose "Unique".

Orchids galore

The other day, my friend Kat and I met at the NY Botanical Garden in the Bronx for a day of friendship, beauty and of course, photography.

The exhibition was on orchids...orchids of every color, shape and size. It was a buffet for the senses. And I find orchids to be rather sensual.

I might post a few times on this subject because there was just so much to capture. And if you know me, I was sure to get some "other" shots besides orchids! (My shutter finger is always going...)
