~ Dad ~
Dad, What can I say? You're a rock. All the years of nurturing and caring. Making sure we had what we needed and so much more. Growing up, words were few, but they meant more then you'll ever know. You led by example. You showed love, strength, responsibility. Taught right from wrong. LOL Taught us about good TV. Remember 'Lost in Space'? Well, Dad, even though you didn't want us to watch it, we did. As you pulled in the driveway we would quickly change the channel. We saw every episode, but not once did it include the end. We knew no one died, everyone was safe, as they appeared in the show the next day. Ya know what? It was a bit corny like you said. You're so smart :) Vacations with a twist, a history lesson. How many times did we go someplace we had learned about in school? The fun trips to the ocean and the mountains. They say strength comes in numbers, maybe having seven children gave you that strength. Maybe it drained you, but you never once showed it. Your humor and faith has rubbed off on each of us in some special way. Though the last few years have taken a toll health wise, you've not missed a beat. Your steps may be a bit slower, but some how, some way, you keep up. You enjoy life to the fullest and have taught us all, do not succumb. Though you may not be able to get that top off the jar like you use to, you are still the strongest person in the world. Better then Superman! Love you Dad! Happy Father's Day!! May your day be as special as you.
