LOL seriously, it was. I woke up and it was a bit chilly but the sun was shining brightly. I decided it was a go for some picture taking. I ran over - ok I drove - to a local park and decided to just walk to see what I could find. Of course as I could smell the flowers, it didn't take long to see the bees. I wasn't sure I could capture one, but I did. It's a bit 'fuzzy' but I love how the detail in the wings shows. I will have to work a bit on the close up there.
As I walked past the small lake/pond, the ducks were plentiful. I walked over to the edge and a few scurried back into the water. These two love birds.. LOL.. decided they didn't care I was there. As they sat on the rock/cement slab soaking up the sun they allowed me to snap away. I wonder if a nest or eggs were nearby and they didn't want to leave me alone. Either way I got some shots. When they got into the water I was able to grab a couple more. I have to say I was pleased. I actually wanted to find something for the black and white landscape shot for the AOL Community Photo Challenge. We'll see if I succeeded later.
The rest of the day was pretty relaxing. I stopped to grab supplies for dinner. Nothing spectacular, no not duck! Chicken. :) Hope everyone else had a great weekend. All in all mine was great. I just can't believe it is back to work tomorrow.

Loved the pictures! The ducks around here have ducklings hatching, so I bet your couple was protecting their nest.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics Donna. I go feed the ducks in a pond near my house quiet often. I love watching them and enjoy seeing them fight for the food and gobble it down!!
