DDT Ban take three

DDT was banned because it weakened bird shells, so caused birds not to reproduce. But does it cause premature births? Personally, I don't know...

In the 1950’s DDT was the most used chemical, it was cheap to manufacture and killed many insects. Paul Muller was the one who discovered DDT. During World War II DDT was used to kill lice on soldiers, civilians, and prisoners. People were rejoicing happily, cheerfully and gladly when they heard that DDT would kill almost all insects. DDT was also used to stop other insect-borne diseases, elephantiasis, and yellow fever. This chemical is cheap and easy to use. In 1962 DDT was outlawed in the United States and Europe.
