Good Day

Good Day! Friday morning here and I'm just wasting time on this computer while the wash is being done. My maid has not retyurned from Vacation so I must do some. Not bad though just throw it in the machine add soap push a button and wait.

Classes begin in another week and am happy about it. The kids should be grateful that I am back and will be teachingt5hem English or let me say trying to but then some are just dumber than dumba nd do not want to learn. The boys at times just mumble and go through the actions while the girls really put forth an effort to do more. The biys are just not interested in much. I can see why they do not do well on exams but then some girls have a problem as well. It is hard for them but I try to make it nice and easy.

I use a few idioms which might be funny but tyen the kids enjoy it. A few eve told me they used them already which is nice. Then I get a thank you form a few who really do enjoy my class and this makes me so happy. Yep they do make you happy and they make you angry and so on. Kids here are just like kids anywhere in the world and they are great. Love them and give all that I can.

My sister thinks tat I am a nut for being here, and she now refuses to talk with me or even send me email since I am in China. She finds fault with the people here and tns it is not worth my time but then she has always found me difficult to deal with and my views differ from hers. I love it here and most likely will die here but then that is scary in and by itself. Dying in China! Wow! Sad! Great for me since I can be cremated and have my ashes thrown into the Yellow Sea. Maybe i told one person they can send them to the IRS and well it will be the problem for them. They screw you all through life with taxes an dthen when you kick the bucket still get screwed. Sad! Butthis is life and life well is full of surprises. So it goes.

Norm here thinks that by beinghere we can add a little more friendship and international relations which is great. By living and working here I can really show others that there are many Americans who are friendly, caring and not war like. I am outgoing and eager to learn more about the people in a land that has history going back 4000 years and maybe even more. A land where there are more people than you can imagine but yet a land that still remains a mystery for which I am always looking into.

Thats all folks!

Feeling Silly

night time

Good evening or morning or whatever the time it is in your region of this universe. Never mind and here is how I am and what I feel tonight.

Living and working in China Like I do is exciting to being duller than sitting in a farm field in the middle of Iowa looking at the cows and wondering how much gas are they producing and how can we  capture it and send it to George since hs is so full of it anyway. Or maybe on to Hillary since she is gassy as it is but yen back to where I am.

Xinxiang is no where really, Just a big city of about 3 mill or so denizens and my students tell me it is small. Hahaha try Shanghai 18 mill and growing. A big city indeed, but here there is nothing special about it. My school is small 1500 kids from middle school to high school. Teach 20 classes a wek with about 55 in each class so it can be really tiring and when I am done at the end of the period all I get is  hahhaa and of to another classroom to see waiting kids who are yearing to speak but remain so silent even a bed bug can be heard sleeping. Srange kids who need to learn the language but getting them to talk is like well you know how some kids are.

There is a MCD's and a KFC big deal I think. Not much to them really and find at times the people who try to serve you are so full of dumb looks it is sad that they are employed at this place. Oh  well at KFC if I hit it right they do have a nice girl who speaks fairly good English. I usually order the same thing so when I come in and she is there I go to her. She smiles greets me and  then tells me what I would like. Right my dear and I'll give you a 100 point credit on your workers reprt. So if I go t5o the other joint well they do have menus with pictures and point. The blabber away and yell something that to me is incomprehensible and tell me that I need to give them some money. So fork over the yuan and she will give me my food with a shrug and no smile. I politely tell her XIE XIE she smiles back and off to a table to chow down.

While there of course I get stared at and looks that will send the secret service into high gear. Of course some stupid moron comes up and asks, "where are you from?" I reply, " from your mother." That gets his attention maybe and tell him to go fly a kite as its none of his business. Once I did and the jerk went out and flew his kite. hahaha Some morons here. Other wise I do like to be asked this question every day and hate it really but this is China. Not in Beijing though. Most ttimes am asked do I work here or just passing through? I tell them well I am down in Xinxiang teaching and right away I get a more use ful question like are my students smart or what. I reply maybe no they are dumb and some are even dumber but this teacher is smarter than the average so it does make my life more enjoyable.

I do not miss the states. So much crime today. Here it is low or in some areas non existent but they never tell you as this is a secret. One thing for sure if you sell drugs here and get caught be prepared to get one in the back of the head very quickly. No fuss and no bleeding hearts claiming it is unfair. Justice is swift. I did know a guy from Canada when I was in Taiwan he went to Singapore from Thailand with some drugs giot caught and was swinging from a rope in about  a weeks time. Good for him and a lesson as well be careful as this place is stricter than USA and it is a fine city. I said," A fine city." understand.

So time to try and hit the hay. No dog to keep me company so no ugly smell from it but then maybe the birds will be chirping in a few hours to wake me up and give me a nice day. anyway be good and be careful be happy and say a good word to someone or smile and maybe it will be nice for you and those around you.
