Let's PICK on Elaine
It's been some time since I've taken the time to add an entry, thought I'd do so today. We've had Vacation Bible School this week and boy am I tired! They put me with the 4 & 5 year olds, what a week we've had. So today I was going to get online and post a few snap shots, but instead I see many, many emails from my brother of our mother riding the rides at Carowinds and I see where I have not put them online.........
I must first tell of our two-Saturday trips. First time May 27; we had one extra ticket and mom was chosen to go. The second time was June 3; exactly a week later. My brother's aunt gave us tickets to go on. We had meal tickets as well as parking tickets for Carowinds. Here are a few of the pictures.
Carowinds was very crowded and HOT! In fact while waiting in line, we took turns using one another's shadows for shade.
When you take your elderly mother to a theme park to play, it's amazing how you always get a better parking deal...
So here ya go.......L O L !
This is the sign as you drive through parking ticket booths.
The girls and SpongeBob. Is it me, or does he look rectangle and not square?
At the SpongeBob Fountain
The Rocket Power Ride the girls rode.
White Water Falls, mom, Ricky, Shanoah, and Corky rode
The splash they made.
How soaked they got.

Me on Runaway Reptar. This ride beats you up! Slings you around and the orange pads hit you in the face. But I did have time to pose...LOL
This next ride, was worth the wait! My mom had never rode a rollercoaster; and as she rode her first one, my brother got her picture. Imagine you are on this kiddie type roller coaster and the woman in front of you sounds like Forrest Gump when the principal comes out of his house (beginning of the movie) whhhhhooooooo! whhhhhooooooo! whhhhhhooooooo! That has to be what the kid behind her is thinking......This ride is the Carolina Gold Rush and here's the picture.......
Corky rode the Super Flying Saturator, but she was on the front and you can only see Ricky and BayBay on the back. They got soaked waiting in line and drenched on the ride.
Here's the Carowinds sign from the Wendy's parking lot at night. After being at Carowinds all day, we had to put meals on lay-a-way at the 99 cents menu..... :)
And here's the star of the Caroline Gold Rush Ride!!!! LOL
June 3's trip and pictures...
This time the funniest ride with mom was the Ricochet. This too is a kiddie ride, but I'll admit it does feel as though you will continue and fall off the ride. Mom however, said she didn't like the ride on every turn. She's say, "I don't like it!" over and over. Or "I ain't riding this again, I don't like it!" Look at the face she has and sweet BayBay just enjoying it.
Also another ride, The Hurler, BayBay and Ricky rode. The old wooden rickety ride that no one likes because it jerks too much. BayBay rode this ride and held her hands up. Picture above.
