Adding Music to your Journal Part 2
lots of graphics may take a while to upload if you are dialup
These instructions come from Lori:
TYPE IN MYFTPSPACE in the tool bar and this will pop up then click on see my ftp space
then this will pop up
hey! you made it to your FTP space! Once here you can manage your files.
you do not have to select a file in here to upload
just click the "upload" button.
A. Type in the EXACT file name, including the extention.
B. click continue
next window please:)
click the "select file"
next window please:) (lol this is getting silly!)
A. locate the file on your harddrive. usually in my music under my docutments per above
click ONCE on it to highlight.
B. click on "open"
this is what your window will show:
A. now your file is ready to send.
B. Click on "send"
this is what pops up next:
when the transfer is done you will see your file
Go to journal entry
then you must click on the tab that says text or HTML and make it say HTML.......... see its right above where you type your message.........
then after you hit HTML it will look like this when you copy and paste the following code into your entry......
<IMG height=1 loop=infinite dynsrc=http://members.aol.com/your screen name here/filename used when uploading into mp3.mp3 width=1 autostart="true"> <B style="FONT-SIZE: 10px; LEFT: 150px; FONT-FAMILY: tahoma; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 130px"></B>
<P><A href="http://hometown.aol.com/Your screen name here/filename used when uploading into mp3.mp3"><FONT color=#ff0080 size=5>TYPE WHAT EVER MESSAGE YOU WANT ABOUT THE SONG HERE....CLICK HERE TO PLAY if it doesnt load</FONT></A>

then you will click it back to text and hit save. the music will come up automatically when your journal starts. Sometimes this takes time to start up but give it a minute. If you have stuff you wish to add to your entry like pics or a message story or poem you can do this after you hit back to text and start on that part of the entry then hit save

WOW this is the most explicit explanation I've ever seen for adding music. Not sure I'd make it through....but I can give it a go!

Good job and I am sure it will help out a bunch of folks. I don't use it since I don't have my speakers turned on. I surf at work sometimes and I keep the speakers off because of music that is set with autostart turned on.
