Saturday Six
Can I make it clear how much I LOVE finding activities in other people's journals that I can carry over into my own??! It's the best, really. Anyhow, this is the Saturday Six, from "Patrick's Place".
1. Which of the following is your favorite store and why?
A) Wal-Mart
B) Target
C) K Mart
D) Sears
My favorite is Target. I love their baby stuff, and they have the greatest purses and accessories. But I, too, end up shopping at Wal-Mart, simply because it's cheaper and closer. And I love it there too.
2. How far does your closest friend who's not in the same town as you live, and when was the last time you saw them in person?
I'm going to cheat a little, because my closest friend in another town is actually my cousin. We're very, very close, and she's truly one of my best friends. The last time I saw her was last Sunday. She took me out to lunch and a movie.
3. Have you ever gone on a date with someone you met online?
What an embarrassing question. Only because yes, I have. When I was younger, and not married. Actually I was still in high school. His name was Matt, and we dated for about a month before I realized there's a reason people usually don't meet that way. He was a little crazy to say the least. Last I heard, he's married too...hmm.
4. What is your favorite novel and what makes it stand out for you?
I love this question. It's called My Sister's Keeper, by Jodi Picoult. It stands out because it's a story most people wouldn't think to tell. It's heartwarming, and funny, and clever. And I cried SO hard when I got to the end. Could not put this book down, if you get the chance, READ IT. I love a book that can make me feel something.
5. You get snowed in at your home for three days. You have power and telephone service, but no way to leave the house. How will you amuse yourself?
I live in Central Florida. If it snows, I'm hiding in the closet and waiting for the end of the world.
6. A fellow journaler you consider a friend disappears from J-land. Visitors leave comments in the journal but they get no response. You send the journaler an E-mail to make sure everything is okay, and despite the fact that you see that it has been read, you get no reply. What do you do?
Assume they've found something better to do, I guess. I'm not one to go looking for an online friend. If she's gone, she's gone, it was fun while it lasted.
Thanks for stopping by this Saturday, I'll be doing this one every weekend in addition to Weekend Assignment. Feel free to leave comments, I love to read them.
