Feeling Surprised
It's a Special time of year for Christians
A big celebration this week in the Christian callender. And by what I saw in peoples shopping trolleys yesterday, boy some are really celebrating in a big way. It was almost like there was a war about to start, the amount of food and drink people were stocking up on. Here in Australia most shops are closed on Good Friday, just like Christmas Day.
We are very lucky, most of us to be in a position to get all this stuff and have a nice home to enjoy it all in, and be able to pick it all up in our car and take it home.
A lot of people would have gone to church this special weekend, and probably on most weekends too, if you are that way inclined. I am a beliver in a God or Higher Power, but since looking at my own life and my dear wifes life, that almost got cut short ( by most standards) I "feel" there is much more to us as we see ourselves as human beings.
A full page editorial in our local paper this weekend is all about putting the chocolate aside for a moment and thinking about that person who died on a cross for us all.
It also mentions that we have ALL failed to maintain Gods standards and we will be judged on that. Pretty scary stuff if you think about it, but I don't think any GOD would put that on us.
Enough for now, enjoy your break for a few days
Paul
