I've been away for a while.  I've had a lot of interesting things happen to me lately; loss of a job, a couple of friends dying, another car accident, a former loved one turned butthead (I still want my albums back) ruining my credit report.  ANYWAY, I'm here.

I'm still proud of my team, but wish the management was changed.  As a Packer stockholder, I can at least turn my vote against the current board.  I wonder how much that will do, being just one person.  Don't think that will change my mind; I still believe in the power of one vote.

Go Pack!

I've just watched The Pack lose another game they could have won.  I'm tired of the close losses....Mr. Sherman and the rest of the Green Bay Packers management, it's time to go.

I've watched game after game, players playing their hearts out, but we can't seem to get the job done.  I blame the management.  Brett Favre hasn't lost a step, Donald Driver is playing, Samkon Goda...where have you been hiding?  Week after week, I see Packer players playing their hearts out and losing by just a few points.  I can't blame the players.  We've lost a lost to injury but others keep on stepping up.  I think it's obvious:  it's time for a change in management.

I'll take the job, if it's offered.  :>

Who in Week 5, when the Pack was 1-4...or even Week 16, when the Vikings weren't quite sure they'd made the play-offs, thought we'd be seeing Green Bay and Minnesota battle it out in Round 1?

Ain't life grand?

Will the Pack's momentum carry them through the first round of the play-offs....or will the Vikings' "Hari-Kari" mode finish another season for them?  Stay tuned...

It's the Pack's bye week, and none too soon:  we have some sore players who could use the rest.

Some say Brett needs the time off for his hand but hey, remember last year?  "How's the thumb, Brett?"  "Fine," and he'd throw another TD pass and the Pack would win another game.  Brett played as well as he ever did, and he was a hurtin' guy.  Things could be worse for us, you know. ;>

Let's not push things, though, eh?  Get your rest, Brett, put your feet up and just keep smiling.  Anything we can get you, a sandwich, the paper???

Until next week...or my next inspiration, whichever comes first...

Okay, okay, it hasn't happened yet.  Based on yesterday's game between the Skins and the Pack, though, it will...according to yet another legend.  Since the 1930's, the winner of the Skins game right before the election has coincided with the winner of the Presidential race:  if the Skins won, the incumbent kept his job.  If the opposition won, there has been a change in leadership.  Football is full of  legends, isn't it grand?

For those who don't know, the Pack won.

Now THAT was marvelous!  We won, we beat Dallas at our house (again) and set a record or two while we were at it.

What was the best part?  Was it Ahman Green's 90-yard run for a touchdown?  Was it the fact that Brett Favre played with a sprained wrist from the first quarter on (and no one could tell)?  What about Najeh Davenport's most excellant performance, or the welcome return of Grady Jackson?  Or was it the plain fact that, hallelujah, we won at LAMBEAU FIELD?  Whatever it was, it was glorious.

To the Dallas fan who predicted we'd go down 24-7 (you know who you are), I say ::nyaa nyaa::  ;>

17-6...so far, so extremely well done, guys!

A word to the refs, though:  HOW can you miss two out of bounds tackles right there in your faces???  ::sigh::

Go Pack!  ;>

Time for the game to start.  You can see the players getting ready on the field (if you have really good eyes, that is).  We both need this win but the Pack needs it most:  it's Lambeau, let's do it proud!

Go Pack!

For an official Packers view of the Detroit-Packers game, visit http://www.packers.com/news/stories/2004/10/17/2/.

Nicely done, guys!

I can see our defense has been working extra hard.  Special teams needs a -little- bit of work, but they did enough to prevent quick return touchdowns today.

Mr. Harris, nice job!  You've defended quite well without drawing penalties, a tough job.  Darren Sharper had a lovely interception in the third quarter ::hoo-rah::  and Donald Driver...congrats!  You've been so frustrated this year, not getting the touchdown, not getting that pass...and you so made it up today!  If there was a game MVP, you'd be it.

I have to put in a word on Najeh Davenport, too.  The man stepped in, made  his play and stepped off like he didn't stress himself a bit.  You did great, thanks, man!  :)
