It's past ten o'clock and I'm only now having my first drink. My sister had no vodka, a key ingredient in most of the drinks we favor. So I told her to just start mixing stuff and see what happens. She did, but I didn't like the result. So she tried again and now I'm drinking some Margarita-like concoction that's at least acceptable while watching Ballroom Bootcamp.
I went to see a new doctor today. He's very good and I liked him. He asked me a million questions and even gave me an EKG before treating my bad knee. Why an EKG? Because he's a cardiologist and nobody leaves his office without a basic heart line taken. The results were good and my blood pressure was good too. As for my knee, he gave me two shots. One put something in and the other took something out and he gave me a prescription. He also sent me to the lab for some blood work. He's just a very thorough doctor. I was very pleased and hope to keep him.
In other news, my glasses broke. That sucks. The frame broke for the second time and they're no longer under guarantee. It's a good thing that I have my old pair, but one of the lenses has a big scratch. I'll visit the eyewear shop tomorrow.
By the way, October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The month may have ended, but the fight to eliminate breast cancer isn't. It's never too late to make a donation. I just did it online tonight. I donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation through the Network for Good. I really like Network for Good because it brings together many causes and organizations. It puts it all in one place and makes the entire process very easy. So check it out.
