AOLJournals bot hates porn, is okay with pornography
The really funny thing about the last post is that when I tried to enter it via AOLJournals IMBot, this is what happened:
PermaGrinGirl: So I guess soft-core porn is what pays, these days....
AOLJournals: I will not respond to that type of language.
The Journals bot, however, is just fine with both 'pornography', and 'p0rn.'

Penthouse has to clean house
I don't know what to say, if I could speak over the giggles, but Penthouse has filed Chapter 11. Money quote, from the article: "... [Penthouse] alienated advertisers in recent years by publishing what was perceived as pornography, analysts say. Penthouse also suffered as pornography became more available on the Internet. ... Circulation plummeted from nearly 1 million in 1998 to 565,700 last year, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Playboy remained steady at about 3.2 million and non-pornographic men's magazines such as Maxim soared during the period."
I guess this means that soft-core p0rn is what pays, these days.

Moving on in
It only seems fitting, as both a blogger and an AOL employee, that I go ahead and try out AOL's journals feature. So for the nonce, at least, PermaGrinGirl on blogger will remain dormant, and I'll be updating here.
I'm wondering how annoyed Google is that AOL has jumped on the blogging bandwagon, given Google's recent purchase of Pyra labs.
