Welcome to the AOL Postmaster Blog!

Just what the Internet needs, right?  Another blog!  But have no fear, we won’t be writing about the latest American Idol rejects, moaning about our horrible NCAA brackets, or pontificating about the Presidential elections.  Nope, we are here for one reason only — to keep you informed about what’s going on with the AOL Anti-Spam Team and how it might affect you.

If you’d like to be notified each time we create a journal entry, or when someone leaves a comment, click on Alerts or Feeds to subscribe.  Also, feel free to comment on our posts, but please, keep it clean. This is a family establishment.

Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that this is not the appropriate place to make requests of the AOL Postmaster team.  General postmaster information about our whitelists, feedback loops, block codes, etc. can be found on our website.  If your email to AOL is being blocked, please call 888-212-5537 and be sure to have your error code handy for quick resolution.

  Can anyone explain this? Seems like the same email works fine on other email clients - gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc..?

  Christine,  I don't know if this is something to ask in this blog but maybe you can help.  I sign on my email acount, all my mail comes up on the page; but when I select an individual piece to open, it never comes up.  Like it's lost in cyberspace.
  This problem only just began and I'm stymied on how to fix it.  Could this be a setting that I inadvertently selected?  Don't think so.  My additional problem is that if you answer via Email, I can't open it to read the respnse.  I'll try to keep up with you via this blog.  Thanks if you can advise me.  Mikepoutre@aol.com

  We are facing some problem in our mailing to your server, we are fully subscribed to you FBL.
  what is the reason why our mailing to your server is 100% goes to Bulk folder.
  Please guide me what i do to fix this problem.

  Why is a friend's email being refused after 12 years of contact but I RECEIVE ABOUT 40 TRASH EMAILS DAILY  (VIAGRA, CASH, LOANS, CREDIT)???
  Her internet server keeps bouncing emails saying that I have blocked her IP address. DOES ANYONE LISTEN?????
  
  I'm ready to trash AOL after 13 years in this playpen.
  
  Does ANYONE respect the privacy & requests of subscribers???
  Your phone support does absolutely nothing to honor paying members requests.
