Former Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld apparently fled France to avoid being investigated for violations against the Convention Against Torture. Under French law prosecutors would have been obliged to pursue the case while Rumsfeld was on French soil in answer to the complaint filed by human rights groups which submitted 11 written pages of testimony from former brigadier general of the military police unit at Abu Gharib.

 

Unconfirmed reports are that Rumsfeld cut short a breakfast meeting and ducked out of the country through a US embassy. At some point this nation must call upon the Bush administration to answer the allegations of human rights abuses and war crimes being made by other nations instead of allowing them to continue to duck the charges. These allegations couldn't be more serious, and were it Kennedy, Roosevelt, Truman, Reagan, or any other president in US history the government and the people would have long been demanding that they answer the charges publicly. After all, their reputation reflects on this nation, and innocent people don't allow such accusations to go unanswered in a manner reminiscent of guilty school boys. But for reasons unspoken, the MSM has routinely ignored these accusations being made by other nations which include a long list of British government officials.
