FLOWERS ARE RED

The little boy went first day of school
He got some crayons and started to draw
He put colors all over the paper
For colors was what he saw
And the teacher said...What you doin', young man
I'm paintin' flowers he said
She said...It's not the time for art young man
And anyway flowers are green and red
There's time for everything young man
And a way it should be done
You've got to show concern for everyone else
For you're not the only one
And she said........
Flowers are red young man
And green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way the always have been seen
But the little boy said......
There are so many colors in the rainbow
So many colors in the mornin' sun
So many colors in a flower and I see every one
Well the teacher said...You're sassy
There's ways that things should be
And you'll paint flowers the way they are
So repeat after me...
And she said....
Flowers are red young man
And green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way they always have been seen
But the little boy said....
There are so many colors in the rainbow
So many colors in a flower
And I see every one
The teacher put him in a corner
She said....It's for your own good
And you won't come out 'till you get it right
And all responding like you should
Well finally he got lonely
Frightened thoughts filled his bead
And he went up to the teacher
And this is what he said...and he said
Flowers are red, green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way they always have been seen
Time went by like it always does
And they moved to another town
And the little boy went to another school
And this is what he found
The teacher there was smilin'
She said...Painting should be fun
and there are so many colors in a flower
So let's use every one
But that little boy painted flowers
In neat rows of green and red
And when the teacher asked him why
This is what he said,..and he said
Flowers are red, green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way they always have been seen

Because Of You, My Life is Richer
What a difference you've
made in my heart.
You've made it sunny where
it used to be so dark.
You've given me reasons to
laugh even when nothing is funny.
I wouldn't sell this feeling for
any amount of money.
Our relationship started out strong and
it has steadily grown.
It's the most precious treasure
that I've ever known.

My Jesus
I have never seen his face but
he never leaves my heart
He gently puts me back together
every time I fall apart.
He's never lied to me - he's my
very best friend.
His goodness has no measure,
His love knows no end.
I've trusted others before but
others have let me fall.
If it weren't for my Jesus
I wouldn't trust at all.
I hope you know his kindness,
patience and love too.....
If not then ask me about him, because
I'd love to share my Jesus with you.

Meet some of my VERY BEST friends from back home!

This is Lumen!! She is the world's best coffee brewer! I LOVE Lumen's coffee. We met at the Fort Jackson Child Development center back when I was in my late teens. She worked in the preschool room and I worked in the infant room. She taught me how to make my favorite Filipino dish pansit! Lumen has stuck with me through very hard times and her friendship means so much to me. I love Eric's and Lumen's bright eyes in this picture. = )

Meet my Buddy Kasey!

This is Kasey! She is the world's best listener! I don't know how she listens to me as I go on and on and on talking and jumping from one subject to another. Of all people - Kasey is the most patient with me. We've been the best of friends for a long time. I was 16 and she was 14 when we met! That was over 20 years ago. We've been through so many good and bad times. You are always here for me Kase. You mean the world to me!

Some of my BEST friends!!
Furman is one of the most courteous and friendly men you could ever meet. He was my boss when I worked as an activities assistant with the elderly at the Benzie T. Rice home. We quickly became the best of friends! This is him, his sweet wife Terlyn and his little man Terrel. Furman's nicknames are Furmanator and Furman Daddy. My husband Michael nicknamed him Furman Daddy!

I agree with Mother Theresa.
