Tropical Storm Ernesto and New Furniture
Well it looks like we are going to be getting another storm. Bands of the storm are already reaching the Keys. The schools in our county are closed tomorrow. We will probably get alot of rain and wind. So I will be having to come up with things that the kids can do inside to keep them occupied. Jason has to work tomorrow,which I think is dumb. Who is going to be getting work done on their cars in this weather. Who knows...at least he will be off on Monday for Labor Day.
While the kids were at school today I went on a shopping escapade and got some new living room furniture and an area rug. We were in need badly of new furniture. Our sectional had seen it's better days that's for sure. Jason told me to choose whatever but I still called him and got an approval before I made a definite decision. We went with a Burgundy Micro Suede sofa and loveseat. We wanted something that would be easy to clean barring any spills. Hopefully we won't get to that point being that the kids aren't allowed out of the kitchen with food or drink. I think it will brighten up the living room. My carpet is beige and the walls white and it needed some color. I picked out new tables and lamps to match. I just hope it all looks good in here and we like it. I will take a picture of it when it gets here. They will be delivering it here shortly and I will come back and add the pic of it.
I thought this was kinda funny. I take and pick up the kids from school and Jay had been coming over to where the kindergarten classes are to sit with Bekah. That way they could get loaded into the car quicker so they didn't have to hunt him down too. Well Bekah don't like the fact that he comes over where "her and her friends" are. She says to me this afternoon on the way home "Mom can you tell Jay not to come sit with me and my friends" and I asked her why not. Get this, she says to me " He is ruining my life" I was rollin'....if that ain't just backwards. You would think Jay(being 31/2 years older) wouldn't want to be sitting with her and it's the other way around. I was thinking to myself good grief she is only 5 years old and we are already ruining her life...Lol. She is such a trip and if this is any indication of how she will be as a teenager start saying your prayers for me now. I will for sure need them.

We dodged another one, didn't we? I love love the new furniture it is soo pretty! I'm jealous cause we need new furniture too. Love color and I think the rug matches great! I have seen that micro fiber and heard that it was durable. I bet it's comfy too. Have a great long weekend! Hugs and GBU, Shelly

Your furniture looks wonderful, as does the rug you picked out. I agree about your white walls/beige carpeted living room needing some color - and you certainly accomplished that. It goes together beautifully!
