My day in Santa Barbara
We (my nephew, my son, and I along with a group of other friends) took the train up to Santa Barbara, yesterday. First, we stopped off for a great Indian Cuisine lunch, we were hungry... LOL!!! Then we shopped alot, and just had a great time.
My nephew loved all my friends and vice versa.... (it was a group of friends from church).
We walked down the pier for ice cream.... the whole day was really good. I hung out with an old friend that I hadn't 'hung out' with in a couple of years. We laughed so much, I just really loved the day!!
My big buys: I bought a beautiful, antique, pewter anklet for only $10 from an antique store, it's so beautiful!!! It's from India... and it has that nice 'gypsy jingle'.... LOL!! I also bought a nice Dooney & Burke purse at the same store, they were asking for $24, I got them down to $18 !!!!
My random acts of kindness for the day were: Thanking a man, in a wheelchair, wearing a WWII veterans cap, for his service to our country, he was so grateful to be recogized!! And taking pics of a sand GI, that this disabled veteran made on the beach, I paid him for the pic.
And generally, held doors for people, and told everyone I met, to have a wonderful day, hey, it's the little things, right?? LOL!!!
Well, I'm off to my mom's, she has some cousins of hers visiting her from out of state, should be nice to see them again... it's been years.
Take Care,
Joann
