Carpe Diem - Seize the Day

To set the scene, we have Fuzzy and Pumpkin both in the family room while Mom is making lunches in the kitchen.

Pumpkin:    I am not watching ESPN!

Fuzzy:    Too bad, I got up first, I pick.

Pumpkin:    MOM!  Fuzzy has on ESPN and is making me watch it!

Mom:    Fuzzy, change it to your choice of 'kid' morning programs.

Fuzzy:    It isn't fair, I got heeeerrreee fiiiiirrrrrsssst!

Mom:    Pick something neutral...

Pumpkin:    MOOOOOMMMMM, he isn't changing it!!!!!!

Mom:    Fuzzy, I DO NOT need this in the morning!

Fuzzy:    (to Pumpkin)  Fine, I am putting on the Teletubbies then!

Pumpkin:    Fine.  YOU will have to watch it, too.

(silence for a few beats...)

Fuzzy:    Okay, I will put on 'Suite Life'.  ( with all the dejection one can muster)

Pumpkin:    Oh good!  You can watch ESPN from 7:30 to 7:45!!!

(scene)

Now, why couldn't they do this from the start... I'll never know.
