The Nice Matters Award

Julie from Julie Loses it, My Weight Loss Journey, has decided to honor me with the "Nice Matters Award". I had seen several of the other journal authors receive this recognition, and could not agree more with the choices. Now that I am in the position of being a part of this, I feel quite humbled...especially at what Julie wrote about me. I can't express in words how her entry made me feel. All I can say is thank you Julie, for sharing this award with me, and thank you for being a roll model in the journaling world and setting a very positive tone in how you conduct your journal.
Now, I guess I have to nominate four other journals that are worthy of this award. That is going to be difficult because all of the journals I visit and read regularly are written by those who I believe to be "nice". I will try to select a few that for one reason or another I believe stand out.
Indigo of Raven's Lament would be one of the first to come to mind. Indigo has had an interesting life to say the least. One in which most people would be mad at the entire world. She, however, chooses to take all of her life experiences and put them into a journal with the intention of helping others that might be going through the same thing. Putting your own problems aside to help others is most definitely a "nice" thing to do.
In the same vein, Michelle of Reflections is also quite deserving of the award. Maybe I'm being a bit selfish here, but I don't think so. Michelle has been going through some tough times recently and has voiced some of her problems on her journal. However, she never lets that get in the way of saying something nice to someone else. I have seen her comments in journals (other than just my own) where she takes the time to say something very nice to the one writing the entry. Many people I know when faced with all she has been faced with would not have it in them to find the positive in anything. Putting others ahead of yourself...most definitely a "nice" thing to do.
Also up for the award is Bea of The Wanderer. Bea is a teacher, both in the classroom and in the jland community. Bea is a very positive person whether she is writing entries, or when commenting on other's. She is the first person to highlight another journal so that her readers can find other journals worth reading. I get the feeling that she is a very giving person, which is an important part of being "nice".
Finally, but not the last "nice" journal that I read is Gina's Journal (say that fast 10 times) Gina's Space. Gina is always there with something nice to say whether it be in an email or through a comment. She is always there to participate in other journal's games and challenges and freely gives of herself. I do believe that she is a "nice" person and deserves to be recognized as well.
For those of you that have been mentioned here today, you can grab either....or both of these graphics below for your sidebar if you wish.

Thanks again Julie for this honor, I appreciate you.

Well deserved, Greg. I look forward to the alert in my mailbox that indicates that you care enough about other people to share your thoughts, ideas and images.
