The Terrible Two's
It is a special day here at Photo Trek...a celebration of sorts. That's right, we have now been around for two years here at AOL. Wow, two years journaling. What is incredible is not that I still have readers that are willing to read my words and look at my pictures, but that I haven't gotten tired of myself yet. Seriously, this has been the best year yet for Photo Trek. Those of you that have been with me since the beginning have seen some significant changes from the features that I have offered to the spin-off journals that have come from Photo Trek. I think I have picked up a ton of new readers through the past year whom I really appreciate.
It is the readers of my journal that keep this going, and push me to make this a very enjoyable place. Therefore, I want to send out a heartfelt thank you to all of my readers. What started out as a simple accessory to my gallery at Four Forty-Six Photography, has really changed over the years. At the time, two years ago, Photo Trek was simply a journal where I made entries about where I went and some things that happened to cross my mind. Over time, I found this journal to be a platform for so many other things. Two of my favorite aspects of this journal are the regular features where I cover Tips and Tricks, and of course, the Photographer Spotlight. But there is so much more here than even that. Through my Behind the Camera feature, I share on a deeper level what I see in my own photography, I've even gone on several environmental rants on these pages, as well as documenting and archiving all of the photographic Treks I have taken. Various photo challenges have been entered, and new friends made...all because of a simple journal.
This is a milestone for both Photo Trek and me. I owe every bit of it to my readers who have inspired me to improve, and achieve ever greater heights. Clicking on that Journals Home link two years ago was the best thing I think I could have done.
