Feeling Happy
I Have Been Rescued by the Rooter-Man

Finally, the plumber came to work on our plugged kitchen sink. A very nice young man tried plunging but quickly realized we needed the rooter method.
While working on unplugging, my plumber shared good advice. He suggests using Dawn; it is the best product on the market for cutting grease. Another suggestion, use a liquid dishwasher cleaner rather than powder or tablet. Powder or tablet can clog your pipes, not fully dissolving.
I shouldn't put shells, fish shells, potato skins, carrot skins, celery, bones in my disposal.
A young lady who reads my blog, who will go nameless is plugging up her sink so my rooter man can come and rescue her <grin>.

Strangely enough, celery and lettuce will plug up a garbage disposal faster than anything else I can think of. They are soft and stringy enough to clog up the holes in the disposal. Hard things like little bones sound like the devil bouncing around in there, but they actually clean things out. Don't ask me how I learned this. <g>

Oh ya! I'm stuffing my drain for him to come! ;-) It should be illegal to have men that cute come into your home! :-) Probably married...or!

I'd be pluggin' too except that I have my own rooter dude. ;) I was told to do chicken bones once in a while to help with the blade...hmm... ;) C. http://journals.aol.com/gdire

No wonder that young lady is going to stop up her sink. LOL. Helen
