Feeling Quiet

peacocks

i just wanted to share a little more about the peacocks.  i enjoyed watching them for a while...but no, they never opened up those beautiful tails, and i gave them ample opportunity!  :)  i didn't realize they were competing at first as they were often walking side by side.

and they did a bit of circling in opposite directions.

i had watched them for several minutes before i realized they weren't friendly towards one another.  and no...neither of them were hurt.  the attack only lasted a split second , and i don't think that either of them actually touched the other.  and no...there were no hens around...so i'm not sure why they were fighting.  but they sure are beautiful.  i wish i had been as lucky as marie to catch them displaying all of their glory.

I found these to be so beautiful, even without the show off strut....
I love the bottom shot.  I got quite a few that weren't with the feathers open & I think they are just a beautiful, like yours!  Love the peacocks with or without the open feathers.  They are just stunning birds~
